A young woman rang me saying it was regarding a call I supposedly made about serps, but I told her I never made any such call. Then she switched to saying it was about an online survey, which I also never completed. She then just cut me off in the middle of my reply. Seems like a pension scam to me. I'm sort of in the middle of reporting it to Action Fraud right now.

I attempted to notify Action Fraud but it felt like a complete waste of effort. Eventually, I just submitted an online report instead. To the person who mentioned the caller was a ‘friendly lady to chat with’, sure, she might have sounded lovely and been polite, but don’t be fooled - she’s a scammer. Her aim is to nick the pension you’ve spent your whole life saving. If you’re worried about your pension, it’s best to ring up the FCA and ask for a reputable financial advisor’s details rather than completing some random online quiz.

On 10th January 2018, I got a call claiming to be about serps and supposedly from HMRC. The woman was quite pleasant to talk to, but now I've got doubts about it. She promised to send some paperwork in the post, so I’m waiting to see if that actually happens. Like the previous commenter mentioned, she brought up ppi quite a bit, which really set off alarm bells for me. Luckily, I didn’t give out any personal details and she didn’t ask for any. I do wish I had taken a moment longer to ask her a few more questions about whether it was really legitimate though.

This number just called me. A little while back I filled out a SERPS survey online, and I think this call was linked to that. The person was really keen on talking about PPI, and I had to be pretty blunt to tell them I wasn’t interested. Now I’m waiting to see if I get any kind of SERPS analysis from them.
