Got a really annoying call saying I required a hearing aid because of my old job. How on earth do they find out such private details?

Got a call from some hearing aid firm trying to drum up business. They said because of my job I should get a hearing test and mentioned some kind of refund. I told them I wasn't interested but they kept insisting it was necessary. When they saw I wasn’t budging, they just ended the call.
