Got two rings from this number earlier today. I usually avoid picking up if the number's unfamiliar, so I’ve just blocked it now. But I wonder, blocking it probably means it’s a real number, right? They’ll just ring again from somewhere else anyway. Sick to death of this nonsense! Even though the number’s on the TPS list, it clearly doesn’t stop them. No idea who it was - no message either.

Got a call from someone called Fiona Weedon, claiming to be from a 'Pension Review Service' on 22/5/15. She said they dealt with frozen pensions and could help sort them out - wasn’t very clear what that actually meant. Like I’d just hand over my pension details and National Insurance number to some random on the phone! Claimed the whole review would take about 4 weeks. She said I'd get a confirmation call a day before with ID, trying to sound all official. But when I started asking questions, she seemed a bit lost and hesitated with her answers. After listening for a bit and then reading through these reviews, I’m glad I didn’t give any info. Big thanks to those who share their experiences; it really hits home - ‘when in doubt, just don’t.’ Who asks for your NI number over the phone anyway? The number was 0113 419 9990. Caller ID showed the same.

Got a call from 0113 419 9990, some bloke telling me I’d been paying into a pension scheme for seven years and because of some new law, they needed to “update” all my info. I told him that was funny coz I’ve only been employed for about two years, and he just ended the call straight away!

Got a call from this number at about 6.15pm on Good Friday on my mobile. When I asked which company she was from, she couldn’t provide any info or a phone number for the business. Asked where my number came from and she had no clue. I mentioned I’d looked up their number and it showed up as a scam caller. She just said she didn’t know anything about that. Told them to stop ringing me. Best just block or ignore this number if you can. Caller claimed to be from Pensions Review Centre.

A while ago, I had a chat about some charity stuff with one group, then a few weeks on they phoned telling me I’d promised a donation - which I definitely didn’t! Got a call about life insurance the other day. The person said there’s some new law stuff that means they gotta check in on your policy every year and a half. They also kept asking about my mortgage situation. The guy sounded pretty bummed when I said I don’t have a mortgage and even more so when I mentioned my life cover is handled by my work - the financial crime unit. After that, he just hung up real quick. Watch out for this one - number was 0113 4199967.

I got a call from a number I didn’t recognise, asking if I’d ever been in a bus or car accident. The caller said they were from a company called First Response, but the number was withheld at first. After missing a couple of their calls, I checked and saw the area code matched the name the guy gave. When I called the number back, all I got was some music and what sounded like muffled chatter. When I mentioned their earlier call, they just hung up. I caught an episode on Watchdog where they warned about dodgy firms using recorded sounds from busy call centres to sound legit. Honestly, I think these people just want to fish for info to scam you - maybe trying to get your bank details or make fake insurance claims. My advice? Don’t answer if this number rings, just block it straight away. Something definitely isn’t right here.

This number seems to be rather bothersome, ringing me two or three times daily. It always cuts off after just three rings, leading me to believe it’s some kind of automated system. After doing a bit of digging online, it appears I'm not alone in this; there's quite a few folks who’ve raised concerns about it too. It’s turning into quite the irritation!

I got a call from a firm claiming to be from the pension service. They said they needed info about my pension providers and any date changes because of some misselling issues and mentioned they could help me get compensation. I said I’ve only had one pension provider all my working years. They insisted I provide dates, but when I asked why, they just ended the call.
