Keeps calling me time after time.

They called me three times already offering some service that doesn't even exist and wanted £49. Be careful and never share bank details or confirm any accounts with them over the phone - it’s definitely a scam. Stay safe!

Just like everyone else here, I wanted proof I'd paid the £49, but they told me they'd only send it if I passed security questions and confirmed some personal info. Don't share anything with them! Honestly, I think this needs to be reported to the police, no doubt about it!

This morning I got a call saying £49 had been deducted from my account to block spam calls. I wasn’t convinced though, as I never share my bank info on the phone. So, I popped over to the bank and turns out, no money was actually taken at all.

This number has been ringing me for weeks now, same as others have said. Today, a man with an accent called and claimed my debit card was charged £49 this morning; he acted like he had all my card info (not trying to be racist or anything). I told him that wasn’t true and asked him for the last three digits on my card, and he just hung up. I reported the number to my phone company, Virgin, and my bank, but they said there’s nothing they can do because it’s coming from overseas. You’d think by now some official body would be able to put a stop to these calls - lots of older folks might get scared by his threatening tone and just pay up!

Got a call today from the same lot who keep ringing me. They tried the usual line about a follow-up for a £49 payment I supposedly agreed to. I told them straight up I knew it was dodgy. Their reply? They started calling me names and warning me to keep an eye on my bank. They’ve got no of my info, but still, I’ll be on the lookout. Honestly, why haven’t the police or telco regulators stepped in to stop these scammers? It’s frustrating there’s no proper action against them!

Today, I got a couple of calls claiming I owe £49.99 for blocking nuisance calls. A few weeks back, I received a similar call but they wanted £39.99 then. When I told them I wasn't paying, they just hung up on me. No chance I'm handing over my bank info. From someone living in Runcorn.

Had the same call come through twice in two days. Both times i told them I never agreed to any payment and they just ended the call straight away.

This number called me twice, once the other evening which I quickly ended, and then again today. They claimed I had signed up for a call blocking service that would charge £49.99, and said they already took the money from my account. When I asked which account, they mentioned one starting with a 4! I pressed for more info but they just said I needed to pass security questions and asked which bank issued the card. I wouldn't give them anything, but their tone was so convincing - it’s really scary especially for older folks! I contacted my bank and they confirmed it’s a known scam, but apparently it goes by loads of different names so it's tough to block before it happens. Best keep a close eye on your bank statements!

Watch out for this scam! They try to sell you a fake £49 gadget that supposedly blocks annoying calls, but really they're just after your bank details. Total rip off, definitely avoid it.

Got a phone call from this number earlier, and they kept saying I’d somehow agreed to pay £49 for some call blocking thing I never signed up for. They weren’t willing to explain much, just told me to check my bank for any charges. Tried ringing them back to find out more, but as soon as I asked who they were, they just cut me off. Feels really sketchy, and reading others’ experiences with this makes me even more uneasy. Definitely going to warn others about it.

Got a call from someone pretty pushy who kept saying I’d already agreed to pay £49 for them to block nuisance calls. They wouldn’t take no for an answer.

I got a call from someone claiming to be from a firm named Tulip, saying I’d paid £49.99 to stop nuisance calls. I told them straight up that I’d never handed over any money nor knew who they were. After that, they just hung up on me.

We experienced something similar. When he asked what kind of card it was, he got quite hostile. We're definitely planning to report this to the police.

Two calls came through from this number, one just yesterday. They claimed they’d taken £49 from my debit card and even had my account details. I spoke to my bank and there’s no sign of any payment going out. The caller also said I’d given permission to block unwanted calls, which I definitely didn’t. Being a pensioner, this really upset me and made me anxious. I’m not sure what to do to make it stop as I’m already signed up to the telephone preference service. E. Dickson
