Some guy named John called me, sounded really Indian, said he was from my electricity provider. He told me there was a problem matching my meter reading with my supply number because it showed up for loads of different addresses or something. I cut him off and asked him to send something in writing instead. He went on about how email wasn’t an option. We talked over each other and I told him that’s the only way to deal with it, or else I’d have to send the call details to the police. Then he just hung up on me... Definitely a SCAM.

Got a call from an Indian bloke asking to talk to the accounts dept. When I said no, he swore it wasnt a sales pitch. Moments later he starts banging on about some new gas and electricity deal. Sounds like a sales call to me, Gupta. Total scam.
