I got a call from a number and the person started with "This is about your trading account," and then asked if I recalled opening a trading account. I could tell they were about to try and get money or personal info out of me. Total scam, best to just ignore it and not give anything away.

BEWARE OF SCAMS. I got a call from a guy with a strong eastern accent, and you could hear a call centre in the background. He said his name was Oliver and asked if I’d accessed my WFT Online trading account - which I don’t even have! When I told him that every time I tried logging in it said I’m bankrupt and banned from managing a company, he seemed shocked and told me to try again. I told him I had to get some papers ready for a fraud trial hearing this afternoon, and he said no worries, he'd ring back tomorrow. This one could be quite entertaining.

Got a call from a number I dont reconise.

Had a really bad experience with this caller, sounded quite threatening. They kept talking about some "online trading account" I supposedly had, but I have no such thing. I told them straight up they had no right to ring me, and that I’d be reporting them to the ICO, then I ended the call. Right after, the same lady, who had a Russian accent, rang back and told me I wasn’t allowed to hang up or report them. Proper unpleasant situation.

What an absolute nightmare that was! I received a call from someone who insisted they were phoning in connection with my so-called "online trading account"-which, for the record, I don't even have! I let them know in no uncertain terms that they had no right to reach out to me, and I was ready to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office if they didn't back off. I was just about to put the phone down when that same woman-her accent definitely had a hint of Russian-decided to ring me again straight away. Unbelievably, she arrogantly stated that I wasn’t allowed to hang up on them or to report their dubious activities. What a cheek!

Got a really annoying call from someone claiming I signed up for some service I never did. I don’t even use Facebook, which is where they said I supposedly registered. Sounded like a total phishing scam to me. They kept calling over and over, and whenever I tried to end the call, they wouldn’t let me hang up. Eventually I just had to block the number because it was relentless.

It took him a bit to reply, then the bloke asked straight away for me by name. He started talking about me signing up for some "Financial Markets" thing - totally rubbish. Claimed he found my details from a Facebook sign-up, which is just not right. He was pretty insistent, which made me suspicious. Figured it was a dodgy call, so I just ended it. Definitely one to steer clear of.

This morning, at around 8:15, I received a call. The voice on the other end asked, "Is this (my first name)?" Regrettably, I confirmed it. But when I followed up with a question about their identity and the reason for the early hour, they abruptly ended the call. It really annoys me that they seem to have access to our names.

Got a call from someone claiming I’d filed a complaint about a financial deal - absolute nonsense. I called them out right away, told them they were trying to scam me. She got proper offended and threatened to report me! As if that’s gonna happen. She was pretty dodgy and wouldn’t come clean about what she wanted, probably just after my bank info. So I just hung up. The number was from Leeds, but I reckon it was just routed through some call centre there. No way she was actually calling from Leeds or even somewhere else in the UK.

I received a phone call from someone claiming I had lodged a complaint regarding a financial transaction. What absolute nonsense! I confronted her, accusing her of being a scammer, and she seemed rather taken aback by my accusation. She even threatened to report me, as if that would deter me! Good luck with that, I say! She was vague and refused to clarify her purpose, most likely fishing for my financial information. She mentioned being from WCF or WFT but couldn’t - or perhaps wouldn’t - elaborate further. So, I decided it was best to hang up.

Attention everyone, it seems that WFT Global or whatever they fancy calling themselves is nothing but a fraudulent outfit. If anyone has additional insights or experiences, do share. I’ve come across some individuals linked to this scam, including a chap named Damian Lawrence-got a photo of him too, plus others like Jason Douglas, Marcus, Alliott Wyn, Roy Barlow, and a fair few more aliases they seem to be hiding behind. Stay alert!

A bloke called John rang me up, using my first name right away. When I asked him who he was and which firm he was with, he just repeated his name and said something about Wells Fargo. It made me think of PayPal for some reason, but I didn't say anything out loud. PayPal never phones me, so that was suspicious. He said he wanted to “help” me with something, but his accent was so thick I struggled to understand him, so I just ended the call. The fella didn’t sound angry or threatening, but it was clear he was trying to keep me talking longer.
