Odd thing is, I just got my cat treated for a nasty multi-legged parasite, so I know what those are like. These pests ring me daily, but honestly, I just ignore any number I don’t know. If more people did the same, businesses would be losing LOADS of money. Keep it up!

I got a call from someone claiming to be from New Day’s fraud team - they manage a load of department store credit cards like Debenhams & Laura Ashley. It seemed legit so I answered. I was careful though and told her I wouldn’t share any info on the phone. She told me to call the number on my card, which I did using a different phone just to be safe, and they were still on the line! I got through to the same lady again. They wanted to check a payment I tried to make twice because of some internet glitch - TOTALLY REAL & SAFE.

I got a call from them asking if I was SJH (full name) and to press 1 if that’s me, or 2 if not. When I pressed 1, they started asking for my date of birth, which seemed dodgy, so I just hung up. Another time, I let it go to voicemail and a man’s voice was asking if anyone was there, which was pretty weird.

I've been getting calls from this number as much as half a dozen times each day. They claim to be from bank security doing an account verification and ask me for my bank card details - including the three-digit code on the back, the name on the card, and the expiry date. They also requested all my bank account numbers and sort codes, plus the name on the account again. Feels like a total scam to me.

this is an automated message regarding overdue payments on store cards. folks who keep whinging about getting calls from this number really should sort their payments out! i don’t complain 'cause i know when i’m behind. don’t people bother checking what’s up when they get these calls? i just google the number, figure out which company it’s from, then log into my account online to see if there’s an issue. just hanging up or ignoring it means the calls won’t stop. it’s newday, the company behind burtons, dorothy perkins, debenhams and others.

Got a call on my landline from someone saying they were from Debenhams. They asked for my full details like name, address and DOB, which I gave. Then they told me I'd not passed some security check and I needed to ring a number they were gonna provide to sort it out. I ended the call. I got a call at 8 in the mornin from someone sayin they were doin a security check. I told them I was headin to work. They said they’d call back later and called themselves New Day. When I asked if they were Debenhams, they said yes, but I ended the call. Then, at 8 in the evenin, they phoned again sayin they were Debenhams and asked if it was me or “stompers 1.” I didn’t reply, and they told me to press 2 if it wasn’t me. I did, and they gave me a number to call back between 8 am and 8 pm. When I rang Debenhams, they said it wasn’t them. Quite fishy.
