I’ve got no clue who was calling, but my bet’s on it being some sort of scam.

I received a call claiming to be from a company dealing with energy tariffs in the UK. The person I was conversing with, who introduced himself as William Thomas, became rather evasive when I inquired about their actual location and requested more information. After some back and forth, it emerged that they were actually calling from South Africa. My suspicions were further aroused when they dodged questions about the specific tariff they were proposing and refrained from discussing the rates. Alarmingly, they did take my tariff information, which has left me feeling quite anxious about the whole affair - it’s got all the hallmarks of a potential scam.
