Got a silent call again, the most recent one out of quite a few this past week. I just stay quiet. Their auto-answer system obviously struggles with no reply. Eventually the call ends, probably 'cos the operators get pinged about someone who actually speaks. If we dont say "hello", they act like we aren’t even on the line - at least for now!

(This keeps happening, and it’s always some kind of scam or spam; it’s like someone at some point got my name linked to his number). When I mentioned it to him, he reckoned it was just a coincidence, but the caller was definitely trying to reach me about something urgent. Sounds like a shady outfit, rang me up and knew the last name but called me “Mr” when that’s wrong. I told the bloke nicely he’d got the wrong person and to stop calling, but he got really agitated which shocked me, so I just hung up. While I was looking up the number here, he rang again!
