This morning I've had four calls from this number already, and I'm convinced it's just another scam. Honestly, I wish someone would start taking action against these pests - they’re nothing but a drain on old folks and those who are vulnerable.

I just got a ring from these lot. Some bloke with an Indian accent working in a call centre, rattling on with the usual rubbish you read about here. He wanted me to open up my CMD prompt, which was an obvious red flag. Definitely felt like a dodgy phishing scam. Be careful and give a heads up to any older folks or anyone who might fall for this rubbish.

So about 10 minutes back my dad, who’s 76 and doesn’t really understand stuff like the internet, picked up a call from this number. It was that same annoying recorded message about hackers and internet problems that everyone seems to get. Honestly, these scammers are awful and should be put to an end somehow. Really grateful for websites like this that help us spot them.

On 14th September 2018 at about 11:45 in the mornin, I got a call from a woman speakin English, she told me my internet was gonna get cut off ‘cause my computer was apparently sendin’ virus emails from my IP. I asked her to tell me my IP number and then she just ended the call straight away.

I got a call from someone claiming that a government website had been breached using my address. I asked for more info, specifically the IP address involved. She began to mention something like 172.4.x.x, but I quickly told her that’s not the IP I have. When she tried to talk over me, I kept insisting it wasn’t mine and even started explaining how IP addresses work. That seemed to confuse her because she hung up right after. Having a background in computer security definitely comes in handy for spotting these sorts of calls.
