I've been getting loads of silent calls that just cut off as soon as I pick up. It seems like the company’s auto-dialler is on repeat, ringing people over and over without stopping. If there’s no one free to answer, it just drops the call and moves on to the next person. These call centres are all about pumping out calls to rake in cash, with zero care for who they're bugging. If you're getting these silent calls all the time, I'd say block the number and let Ofcom know about it.

They offer cards like Aqua, Marbles, Opus, Fluid, plus they manage cards for brands like Amazon, TUI, Debenhams, House of Fraser, Laura Ashley, Burton Menswear, Dorothy Perkins, Evans, Miss Selfridge, Outfit, Topman, Topshop, and Wallis. I dont have any cards from any of those places tho.

Got a call saying it was from Amazon about a new credit card. I wasn't sure when the payment was due and then just forgot about it. Later, I got a message asking me to check my account, and saw I was on the late payment list. I paid up straight away and a minute later they called again to verify my identity. I gave them all the info, then was put on hold. After about 2 minutes they told me I failed the security questions and then just hung up.

I kept getting calls from an automated system asking for personal info. I never share my account number, DOB, or postcode with a robot. I called back and finally spoke to someone real who said it was New Day (the company behind Amazon credit cards). But they asked ME again for the same details to “access my account.” I refuse to provide that stuff without knowing why. Since she couldn’t tell me the reason for the call, I told them to send anything important in writing and I’ll handle it then. If there’s something legit, I guess I’ll find out soon enough.

I only started getting calls from this number after I put something up on a popular secondhand selling site. I reckon my number’s prob been passed around by them. Has anyone else sold stuff and then got annoying calls blowing up their phone? That’s why I just ignore calls now, even if it might be legit. Bet the country’s missing out on heaps of money because of this, lol.

I tried out a popular online marketplace to offload an item for the very first time, and the following day, I began receiving calls from this number. Take it from me, avoid picking up any calls from numbers you're not familiar with! It seems like the country must be bleeding cash, haha!

01133346537 is the New Day call centre number, and honestly, it’s just a total pain. I sent a really firm letter to the CEO but they kept ringing for a whole week afterwards. Then they just stopped and started calling from a different number, 011333465720, which I saw has also been mentioned here as another pest. They really messed with the wrong person because I’m reporting everything to the right authorities like TPS, ICO, and FCA. I’d suggest anyone else do the same - this company has been recklessly breaking the rules since 2015 with no regard.

Yeah this number is real, I missed a payment on my Outfit credit card and they kept ringing. Once I phoned back using the number on my statement, the calls stopped. Don’t bother calling the number that showed on the caller ID, it’s just an automated message telling you to call the one on your bill. They call themselves “Newday”.

I got calls on both my landline and mobile, but no one spoke when I picked up. Sounds similar to what others have said - it might be connected to owing money on a Debenhams or Dorothy Perkins card. Honestly, the safest thing is to call the number on the back of your card to find out for sure.

Honestly, some of the remarks here are rather baffling! It's clear that New Day is the service provider behind various credit and store cards. If you find yourself in debt, thinking it will simply resolve itself by pretending it doesn’t exist isn’t a clever approach at all!

Received two calls today, one on my landline and the other on my mobile. I'm pretty convinced it's a scam of some sort. I only pick up the phone for numbers I know. There’s no way I'm calling them back; if it’s genuinely important, they'll drop me a letter.

I picked up the phone and it just got disconnected straight away. Before that, I had an automated call from Debenhams which I ended immediately. Looks like from what others are saying, these calls might be linked somehow. The other number I got was 0845 1262663.

I got a call earlier from Newday / Amazon using the number 0333 220 2550. They asked for my security details but didn’t say why they were ringing. I told them I wouldn’t give anything until I knew more and said they should ring me back in 5 minutes so I could check the link between 0333 220 2550, Newday and Amazon. Looks like there is one. After 5 mins, 0113 334 6537 rang my landline, but hung up as soon as I answered. Then a minute later the same number phoned my mobile and did the exact same thing. Very suspicious. Feels off to me. I’m going to cancel the card.

I’ve been getting calls from this landline about twice a day, once in the morning and once at night for the last ten days. Every time, there’s silence when I answer and then they just hang up. They wouldn't cease their relentless ringing, even after I made it clear that I had no intention of sharing any details with a cold caller. The caller became rather insistent, vowing to keep hounding me. It's amusing how, coincidentally, there was a commercial on television discussing exactly these sorts of calls, and then they start coming through. Such a pest of a nuisance call-I'm begging for it to stop!

Called by someone saying they're with New Day on behalf of Debenhams. We’ve never had any Debenhams account or card, so it seems like Debenhams share your info when you give it to them, and then you get bombarded with silent calls. Proper annoying.

I've been receiving calls incessantly from this number and one other, 0113 3346501, throughout the week. Each time I answer, there's silence on the other end - except for today, that is. A person claiming to be from New Day spoke up, rudely asking for security info related to one of my credit cards. They wouldn’t divulge any details until I verified my identity - ironic, since they were the ones calling me! I firmly refused to share anything during an uninvited call of this nature. The chap then suggested another number for me to ring, but I made it clear that if my bank had something to communicate, they should do so in writing rather than through a dodgy phone call. I shall be reaching out directly to my card provider to flag this incident.

If you’ve got a store card with them, you probably have to answer, but with any cold calls, never give out your personal info.
