I've been getting loads of silent calls that just cut off as soon as I pick up. It seems like the company’s auto-dialler is on repeat, ringing people over and over without stopping. If there’s no one free to answer, it just drops the call and moves on to the next person. These call centres are all about pumping out calls to rake in cash, with zero care for who they're bugging. If you're getting these silent calls all the time, I'd say block the number and let Ofcom know about it.

This number has rung me loads of times. I never pick up if I dont know who’s calling. Some reckon it might be from a call centre for NewDay. If thats true, they deal with store credit cards. They offer cards like Aqua, Marbles, Opus, Fluid, plus they manage cards for brands like Amazon, TUI, Debenhams, House of Fraser, Laura Ashley, Burton Menswear, Dorothy Perkins, Evans, Miss Selfridge, Outfit, Topman, Topshop, and Wallis. I dont have any cards from any of those places tho.

Its been like 3 days non stop calls, and just in the last 10 minutes this number has rung me 5 times without stopping at all.

Got a call saying it was from Amazon about a new credit card. I wasn't sure when the payment was due and then just forgot about it. Later, I got a message asking me to check my account, and saw I was on the late payment list. I paid up straight away and a minute later they called again to verify my identity. I gave them all the info, then was put on hold. After about 2 minutes they told me I failed the security questions and then just hung up.

I kept getting calls from an automated system asking for personal info. I never share my account number, DOB, or postcode with a robot. I called back and finally spoke to someone real who said it was New Day (the company behind Amazon credit cards). But they asked ME again for the same details to “access my account.” I refuse to provide that stuff without knowing why. Since she couldn’t tell me the reason for the call, I told them to send anything important in writing and I’ll handle it then. If there’s something legit, I guess I’ll find out soon enough.

I've got multiple calls over the last few days from this number on my landline, with someone saying they're Laura Ashley wanting to talk to my mum, who’s not home at the moment. Whenever I ask what the call is about (always suspicious because of all the scams these days), they go quiet and say it’s confidential, then tell us to have her ring them back but never provide a contact number. Sounds like a dodgy call, saying they're from 'Newday' for Debenhams (which is where I have a credit card). I only started getting calls from this number after I put something up on a popular secondhand selling site. I reckon my number’s prob been passed around by them. Has anyone else sold stuff and then got annoying calls blowing up their phone? That’s why I just ignore calls now, even if it might be legit. Bet the country’s missing out on heaps of money because of this, lol.

01133346537 is the New Day call centre number, and honestly, it’s just a total pain. I sent a really firm letter to the CEO but they kept ringing for a whole week afterwards. Then they just stopped and started calling from a different number, 011333465720, which I saw has also been mentioned here as another pest. They really messed with the wrong person because I’m reporting everything to the right authorities like TPS, ICO, and FCA. I’d suggest anyone else do the same - this company has been recklessly breaking the rules since 2015 with no regard.

Yeah this number is real, I missed a payment on my Outfit credit card and they kept ringing. Once I phoned back using the number on my statement, the calls stopped. Don’t bother calling the number that showed on the caller ID, it’s just an automated message telling you to call the one on your bill. They call themselves “Newday”.

I got calls on both my landline and mobile, but no one spoke when I picked up. Sounds similar to what others have said - it might be connected to owing money on a Debenhams or Dorothy Perkins card. Honestly, the safest thing is to call the number on the back of your card to find out for sure.

I picked up the phone and it just got disconnected straight away. Before that, I had an automated call from Debenhams which I ended immediately. Looks like from what others are saying, these calls might be linked somehow. The other number I got was 0845 1262663.

I got a call earlier from Newday / Amazon using the number 0333 220 2550. They asked for my security details but didn’t say why they were ringing. I told them I wouldn’t give anything until I knew more and said they should ring me back in 5 minutes so I could check the link between 0333 220 2550, Newday and Amazon. Looks like there is one. After 5 mins, 0113 334 6537 rang my landline, but hung up as soon as I answered. Then a minute later the same number phoned my mobile and did the exact same thing. Very suspicious. Feels off to me. I’m going to cancel the card.

I’ve been getting calls from this landline about twice a day, once in the morning and once at night for the last ten days. Every time, there’s silence when I answer and then they just hang up. I've been getting nonstop calls for weeks and finally managed to get through to someone. They made me go through a load of security checks but then said my info didn’t match their records. They told me to ring NewDay on a different number, but couldn’t explain why! I've been with this account for over 20 years, so I know my details perfectly well. The woman was really pushy about me having to call NewDay, even though I was supposedly already speaking to them. It was quite confusing and honestly a bit ridiculous. When I asked if they were going to call me back, she just kept saying I had to call NewDay myself. I’m planning to sort this out straight with Debenhams and probably cancel everything. I don’t owe them a penny and haven’t for ages, so whatever this is about can’t be important - but I didn’t argue with the lady who seemed convinced it was urgent!

Been getting calls all week from this number and another one, 0113 3346501. Normally I just pick up and there's silence, but today someone finally spoke. They claimed to be from New Day and wanted my credit card security info. They didn’t say what the call was about until I confirmed my identity, which I refused to do since the call was unsolicited. He then gave me a different number to call back on, but I told him if there was any issue, my card provider could contact me in writing. I’ll be reaching out to my card company myself to report this.

If you’ve got a store card with them, you probably have to answer, but with any cold calls, never give out your personal info. Instead, call them back on the number on your statement or their website, and ask what the calls are about. Hope that helps!
