Got a call from this number claiming to be with the British Medical Association. Initially, they were asking questions about Covid vaccines and boosters but then suddenly switched to asking about life insurance options and prices. I told them I wasn’t happy chatting since their info had me listed with a postcode that hasn’t been mine for well over a decade. Felt pretty sketchy to me...

These scammers were so pushy, it was unreal.

I had an absolute laugh with this chap! From the get-go, I could tell it was a dodgy scheme, especially with that unmistakable Indian accent of his. What cracked me up was his little charade of pretending he had a typical local name like 'Bernard,' while his accent gave him away completely. He rang me up trying to rope me into his investment team, promising the earth with opportunities in bitcoin and blockchain. Quite the comic performance, really!

My mum just lost £420 to a scam from this number. Definitely don’t pick up if it rings you!

Had a call from someone claiming the Bitcoin firm I put money into is no longer operating. They said they’re holding the cash I invested (quite a sum!) but to get it back I need to pay a fee upfront. Odd thing is, they refused to share any details about the company being closed down, and wouldn’t let them take the fee from the returned amount - insisted I pay before anything else. The bloke on the phone called himself John Simons from Bristol. Quite fishy if you ask me.

Over the past couple of days, this number has rung me like 26 times! They claimed they needed my bank info to send me some money. It’s obviously a scam, so whatever you do, don’t hand over your details. Just a heads up so you don’t fall for it!

They claimed to be calling from blockchain.com, saying I’d lost money on crypto trades and they were offering to send it back to me.

I got a call from someone saying they were from blockchain.com and that my crypto was stuck in a separate bank account. They claimed they could release my funds, but only if I paid some kind of upfront fee as a commission. It felt dodgy to me, like they were trying to scam me out of money before actually giving anything back. So watch out, these people might be pretending to be legit but it’s probably just a trick to get cash upfront.

This definitely gave me a dodgy vibe, felt like some kind of scam.

Definitely a total rip-off!
