I've had this number ringing me quite a few times lately, each time claiming that HRM Customs is taking legal action against us. The last time they called, they even dropped a voicemail.

I got a voicemail saying there was a court case against me and that I had to ring back because it was from HMRC. I called them, and they said they'd ring me back in about 10 minutes. When the guy rang me, he claimed I owed more than £1000 and said they had sent me letters, which I never got. When I asked for any proof or details about the debt, he just started threatening me with police, arrest, and losing my home. I told him it was a scam, but he kept denying it and said I was mistaken. Eventually, I just hung up and blocked the number.

Got around 7 texts saying HMRC were suing me and I needed to ring 01133281205 right away to sort it out. Thought it was dodgy, so didn’t bother replying.

Got a call yesterday from some bloke banging on about me owing £1190. I kept firing back questions he couldn’t explain properly. He kept pushing for the cash and even threw in threats about court and bailiffs showing up to pin me down if I didn’t cough up! But no way was I handing over a penny, I stood firm and ignored all their threats!

My elderly folks, both in their 80s, got calls with threats about court and bailiffs, just like others here mention. It feels like they’re going after older people, hoping to scare them into handing over card details on the phone. Such awful scammers out there, definitely watch out.

This number has called me about 7 times, each time claiming there are legal actions against me and I need to call them right away or else I’ll get arrested. I haven’t called back because I was in touch with HMRC just a short while ago when I stopped working this year, so I’m pretty sure it’s a scam and not actually them.

Today my mum got a call from this number claiming to be HMRC and threatening court action. As soon as she mentioned that, they just cut the call. I reckon it was probably just an automated message.

This looks like it could be a total scam to me.

Lately, I've been getting loads of calls from this same number. I just hang up straight away but they keep coming back. I'm 75, and it feels like these calls are really meant for older people like me. I've gone and set up a fraud file with BT to keep track. Whenever one of these calls comes in and I end it, I ring 1572 and the call goes to my file where they can leave a voicemail. It's actually quite handy.

This number rang me up and left a voicemail asking me to get in touch about some tax issue allegedly owed. When I called back, a guy called Paul answered and said someone would call me later. Then, this bloke Anthony Hall rang me, claiming there was an arrest warrant out for me over £1350 in unpaid tax and demanded I pay up right away. The strange part was, he actually knew my postcode! I asked him to send me a proper invoice or letter to sort it out.

My mum got a call from this number and the person claimed to be from HMRC, saying she hadn’t paid enough tax. They started threatening to send someone round to arrest her, saying she was involved in criminal proceedings. They reckoned she owed £4500 and demanded she pay £2000 over the phone straight away. It was scary because they seemed to know details about her private life, so clearly someone’s selling or had her info nicked. Luckily, at 77, my mum is tough as nails and refused to be cowed, even though it was upsetting to get accused like that. An accountant has confirmed it’s a scam, and the police are on the case now. These scoundrels deserve to be locked up for this disgraceful behaviour. Honestly, I’d love it if they called me next, I won’t back down either!

My mum got a call from someone claiming to be from the inland revenue, saying she owed £999. They warned her her bank would be frozen or someone would come to collect the money, and said she could pay using iTunes vouchers. They said their name was Raoul, but when I tried calling back, the line just went dead.

Got a bunch of messages in the morning, must’ve been about 4 or so. Finally picked up and all I got was some automated voice claiming HMRC's dragging me to court or something. Proper sketchy.
