Definitely a dodgy number. I put up an advert on Gumtree and no more than 15 mins later I get this call. I spun them a tale about having a “crash” and kept them chatting for like 10 minutes, then outta nowhere they got really rude, told me to f### off and started dropping swear words at me. Proper disrespectful.

I received a call about a supposed accident that I never experienced. Upon informing the caller to get lost, he turned quite aggressive and resorted to derogatory language, calling me a p*kic*nt. To make matters worse, he persisted by ringing me from various numbers, including 07866666660. It's astonishing how lacking in character some people can be.

Got a call from some solicitors who said they could sort me out with winning my case. They seemed to agree right away that I’d been in a crash. When they asked what injuries I’d got, I jokingly told them I died in it. They still said they could for sure help me get it won. Bit strange if you ask me. 🤨🤨🤨

Got a call from someone supposedly working remotely for the HMRC. At the start, it was an automated voice saying I've got a warrant for tax evasion and to press one to talk to an agent. Then a woman with an accent came on, said some foreign name and asked me my name. I shot back saying you called me, so why don’t you give me my name first? She said she was working from home and didn’t have her computer, then she just cut me off. Best to just ignore these calls.

Thanks for mentioning Gumtree, really got me thinking. So, I was in an accident about six years back and wrapped everything up around two years ago. Lately, I've had four calls, a couple from Leeds and a couple from London, and I wondered if they're connected to that. I did put up some ads on Gumtree this week, so maybe that's why. Even got a call at half past four on a Saturday afternoon, just as I was trying to watch a bit of BSB racing - proper annoying!

I got a call from this number about some claim they said I made, but I’ve never had any accident. They kept trying to get me to say I’d been in one like they already knew about it! I told them straight up I’m aware of any accidents I’ve been in and I have no intention of making any claims.

I recently had an unsettling encounter with this individual, who turned out to be quite deceitful. Once I confronted them about their shady dealings, they became exceedingly aggressive and even hurled threats my way, boisterously asking, "What's stopping me?" They openly confessed to engaging in unlawful activities, including selling and consuming illicit substances, and made no bones about their intention to swindle anyone foolish enough to pick up the phone. Honestly, they're nothing short of a leech in society.

Got a call from someone pretending to be British Gas, asking me for a meter reading. When I asked for the MPAN or account number, they couldn't give me any. I’m not even a British Gas customer, so watch out - looks like scammers trying to switch your provider behind your back!

I got a call from someone claiming I'd been in an accident. I told them straight away that wasn't true at all. Then they said maybe it was a relative and asked for names. I told them again there was no accident and warned I’d call the police if they didn’t stop. After that, they just hung up.
