I got a pre-recorded call claiming there was "unlawful" activity on my bank account. Honestly, don’t waste your time with it - it’s just a con job.

Got a call earlier today from someone claiming to be from the bank's fraud team. They said there was suspicious activity on my account and kept pushing me to transfer money to a ‘safe’ account to prevent any fake withdrawals. Pretty sure it’s one of those scams trying to trick people out of their cash. Watch out, folks!

My mum got a robo-call warning her of some activity on her account. She called Barclays using the number printed on her statement, and the person she chatted with told her to ring this number instead. The bloke on 01133280170 didn’t seem to know anything about banking or Barclays but kept her on the phone for ages. When she finally went to her branch face-to-face, they said there was no unusual activity on her account at all.

Got a call from someone saying they were Harry Chester at Nationwide Building Society, warning me about some strange stuff on my credit card. I double-checked by calling Nationwide myself, and they said there wasn’t anything odd going on and they hadn’t rung me at all.
