I called back and just got the answering machine, so I ended the call straight away.

Today, I received an unexpected call on my home phone from a chap with a rather peculiar accent, proposing some sort of deal on new insulation for my house and a boiler replacement. The offer rang a bell since I've come across information regarding a similar scam, alluding to government-subsidised insulation schemes. Instinctively, I ended the call and promptly blocked the number without a second thought!

i keep getting calls from this number but when i call back theres no one there to pick up. its really annoying.

I keep getting loads of calls from Leeds numbers and now I just ignore anything starting with 0113. They never bother leaving a voicemail, so it’s obviously dodgy. I’m not ringing back ‘cos I don’t want to risk getting charged for a premium call. Seriously, Ofcom, sort these scammers out - you’ve gotta have the means to stop this nonsense.
