This number rang me up offering some meal kit delivery thing, can’t remember exactly but it was something like Green Chef. I was in a hurry getting ready for work so didn’t really catch all the details.

So I just got a call saying there's a warrant out for fraud with HMRC and that if I don’t hit 1 and talk to their agent, I'll get arrested. Absolutely pathetic!

I got a phone call from a bloke named Jack claiming he worked for the Financial Services Agency. He told me I was due a refund of £1950 because I’d supposedly paid too much on a loan. After checking my info, he asked about the loan itself. Since I don’t actually have one, I made up some details. Then he mentioned a supervisor would be in touch with me soon. Still waiting for that call. From his accent and the lag in his replies, it seemed like Jack was calling from some call centre abroad.

They rang me twice. First time I picked up but couldn’t hear anything. Second time, someone spoke for like 15 seconds. Both calls were charged as a full minute even though I’m in the UK. Turns out it was about some Uber Eats driver promotion, which I’m already part of. Honestly, they should really be using US numbers for their US partners instead.
