Got a ring from a Leeds number today, and here’s how it went: Caller (with a Bradford twang): “Hello, I’m from the Pension Office.” Me: “Sorry, which one exactly?” Caller: “The Pension Office.” Me: “Can you tell me the company name then?” Caller: “Assured.” Me: “What’s this about?” Caller starts babbling about some new Government rules and says I should’ve got a message about it. I got a ring today on my work line from this number. The guy on the other end sounded like English wasn’t his first language and said he was calling from Assure Pension. He asked about my current and frozen pension details claiming they wanted to assist me. Then suddenly, he accused me of wasting his time and just cut the call.

Got a call from someone with a thick Indian accent talking about pension changes. Honestly, I could barely catch what they were saying. They said they needed to speak to someone else, but oddly enough, they knew the person’s full name. Seems like one of those pension scams to me.

Definitely add this number to your blocked calls, it’s a total scam! I checked the number and it’s linked to Assured Pensions, they try to sell 'pension loans' or some rubbish like that, which is just a scam. Better not waste your time, just hang up and block straight away. Got a call from someone called Edward Smith, spoke with a really thick Indian accent. He was asking for a name I only put on my Facebook page.
