Every scam call, message, or email needs to be reported to Action Fraud through their phishing report page. Just follow their online steps, which also suggest informing the City of London’s fraud squad. They recently teamed up with police in India to shut down two scam operations there and arrested several people. But we all have to do our bit by reporting every scam we come across so the cops know what to focus on. Plus, it's a good idea to alert others here too. Don’t just rely on others to handle it - we need to take responsibility ourselves.

Got calls from the same number three times within a couple hours, first one claiming to be from HMRC (bit late at 7.30 in the evening if you ask me). Didn’t pick up after that but looked up the number here instead. I swear, there are more suspicious numbers blocked on my phone than people I actually know. Called my mobile just before five in the evening. When I picked up, I heard some sort of bell chimes for a moment, then a bloke said something like "I fudge" or similar, then nothing else. Even tho I've blocked them BT keeps sending these 1571 voicemails. Loads of folks have pointed out how stressful this number is but it still goes on, why is that allowed?
