Got a call from a Yorkshire number claiming to be UK Pensions. The lady on the phone had a bit of a Filipino accent. I told her straight to take my number off their list and asked what else I could do to stop these annoying calls. Honestly, I’m fed up with all these rubbish nuisance calls. Just got a ring from this number claiming to be from UK Pensions. Hard to say if they really are, so I’d seriously advise against giving out any personal info. The first person chatted for a bit, assured me it wasn’t a sales pitch, asked a few quick questions, and then passed me over to someone else. Doesn’t really affect me as I'm not close to retirement yet, but they mentioned some new government rules about private pensions that might impact you if you're a fair way off retirement. They’re basically offering a free pension review if you've been paying into your private pension for at least 10 years. Don’t get caught out by this! Always double-check with your pension company first.
