Got a call from this number, and when I picked up, there was a beep then put on hold. I could hear office noise and my own voice echoing like it was on speaker. Then the line went dead. He said, ‘I need to update you about your pension.’ Which pension, I kept asking, but he couldn’t say. I asked a few times and he just seemed clueless. Makes you think, was he trying to scam me? Probably not... I asked him to send me an email instead. He never even asked for my email, and I wouldn’t have given it anyway since it’s already on file. So I’ve been waiting for that email. Although I’m not directly affected, they mentioned supposed changes in government regulations regarding private pensions that could impact those nearing retirement age. Essentially, they're offering a 'free review' of your private pension if you’ve been contributing for a decade or more. Don't be misled! It's wise to consult with your actual pension provider beforehand.
