Received two calls from this number earlier today, but I chose not to pick up. I've got no clue who it could be.

I recently received a telephone call from this lot, and it set off alarm bells for me straight away. The individuals on the line sounded incredibly youthful, there was a cacophony of background noise, and before I knew it, I was being handed off to another 'more experienced' operator far too quickly in the chat. It felt like your typical dodgy call centre trying to push pension advice on the cheap. Naturally, I was on guard. Interestingly, if you stick it out during the call, they dangle the carrot of a complimentary review of your pension services. They’ll arrange for someone to visit your home to sift through your paperwork, and let's be honest, I can only imagine the pressure they’ll apply to get you to sign on the dotted line. My advice? Steer clear! I had a look at the FCA's website and it clearly states: "Avoid any pension advisors who cold call - it's extremely uncommon to receive free advice. Firms offering such services are unlikely to be FCA affiliated. They often push high-risk pension schemes, which could lead to you losing a significant amount." So, for the love of all that is good, just hang up! If you find yourself in need of genuine pension advice (as I do), seek out a reputable, FCA regulated independent advisor. Yes, they will charge a fee, but at least you’ll receive proper guidance. Remember, this is your pension we’re talking about - don’t take any unnecessary chances! - caller: 0113 320 1262

How on earth do they even have access to our names and phone numbers? I received a call from a number that inquired about my pension - and I'm only 24, mind you! It’s utterly bonkers. They even wanted to know my middle name and surname! It’s clearly a scam, and I find it hard to believe that they can just get hold of my number so easily. Whatever you do, don’t share any personal information with them! - Caller: Pension.

Received a call from someone who knew my name, claiming they were with "Assured". They mentioned they wanted to discuss updates regarding pensions. When I explained that I hadn’t actually contributed to a pension scheme, the gentleman remained courteous and thanked me for the conversation. - Caller: Assured Pension Services

I received a rather persistent call from someone claiming to be from Assured Pension, keen to gather details about my retirement funds. I informed her that I had already accessed the government’s website and had consulted an advisor, so I was all set. The woman was quite courteous, concluding our conversation with a cheerful "have a lovely day!" - caller: Assured Pension.

I received a phone call regarding some updates to my pension from the government. The trouble is, I don’t actually have a pension at all, so they swiftly hung up. As for the name they provided, I'm not entirely sure it was genuine.
