Got a call on Friday evening from some robotic-sounding voice talking about my Amazon account and a supposed credit card problem. As soon as they mentioned it, I just ended the call. Definitely seemed like one of those scam calls.

Got a call from someone who claimed to be from my credit card provider, saying there were strange transactions on my account. They mentioned some payments, but I told them I hadn’t approved any of it. They didn’t ask for any of my account info though. Just to be safe, I rang my bank myself afterwards to check everything was alright.

I called the number but nobody picked up, and I didn’t leave any voicemail. I even tried calling it in private mode, but got a message saying the number isn’t recognised.

These lot claimed they were from Visa, saying I'd sent £1500 overseas and another £300 on some Amazon purchase, though they never said what it actually was.
Absolute SCAMMERS.
I gave them just two words and ended the call.
