After almost 2 years of silence, seems like these muppets have popped up again. Can't believe it!

Someone kept ringing my elderly parents like 4 times within a couple of hours but never left any voicemail. Thankfully, they’ve got that True Call thing installed which blocks unknown numbers. I put that number on the block list, and next morning when it called again, their system just automatically declined it. Works perfectly.

Beware of a fraudulent caller! A gentleman with an Asian accent rang us, claiming that our BT line had been compromised. As a business, we make it a point to switch off all our lines and broadband over the weekend. This chap insisted that someone had accessed our internet and phone services. However, upon contacting our service provider, we confirmed there had been no activity whatsoever. Stay alert!

I just let it ring and didn’t bother answering, no voicemail came through anyway. I’ll mark that number as dodgy and just steer clear next time. Can’t really block it though - my phone’s already full of blocked numbers and won’t accept any more!

I've just had a rather curious call from this number. A gentleman speaking with a pronounced accent from the Indian subcontinent claimed he was from BT's technical support team. He said their system had flagged some concerns regarding my broadband usage during the hours of 2:30 and 3:30, and that they needed to address it promptly. While my internet has had its fair share of hiccups lately, my instincts kicked in, particularly when I noticed the overwhelming background noise that made it quite challenging to follow his explanations. The real giveaway that something might not be right was the constant disruption in the call; not exactly what you'd expect from a professional tech support line! I decided to tell him I’d contact BT myself for clarification, and just like that, he hung up without another word.

This number just rang me up. A bloke with a strong South Asian accent launched into a spiel that kept mentioning "BT" - I reckon that’s meant to mislead people. The background noise was all busy call centre chatter so I couldn’t catch everything he said. Still, something about it set off alarm bells, and before I could tell him “not interested,” my doorbell rang luckily so I told him that and hung up. Years ago, over a decade back, a lady with a similar accent nearly had me convinced it was BT calling. Her way of saying the initials sounded almost exactly like “BT,” but when I said to put the charge on my BT account for their service, it suddenly became clear they weren’t connected to BT at all. Since retiring, I answer my landline more often and get loads of calls like that - way more than I thought, especially compared to when I was at work and ignored them. Sometimes I get up to three of these daily! It’s crazy how common these calls are.
