Got a call from someone saying there were tests going on nearby and my windows were letting heat escape, whatever tests they meant I have no clue. Asked if I could talk to someone who speaks English properly, and they said they were actually from England, which sounded so dodgy!

It’s crazy how much Big Brother is watching us these days. I got one of those anonymous pay as you go phones, no personal info linked or anything. I buy the top-up vouchers without giving my details. Still, some scam company called me and somehow they already had my FULL NAME and home address! How on earth do they even get that stuff??

I’m proper fed up with all these spam calls and dodgy numbers. I just let it ring and then blocked them once I looked them up here. They keep phoning from loads of different digits though. With GDPR and all, I assumed this kinda thing would have been cut down by now. Wondering who’s actually passing on our info? BEWARE, IT'S A CON!!!!! They rang up pretending to be carrying out energy checks on the street, asking if we’d be around. We played along, already suspecting it was dodgy, and asked why we hadn’t had any official letter about it. Their reply was something like, “If we sent letters to every single person, nothing would ever get done, love.” What creeped me out the most was that they already had our full names and address - clearly, this info is being traded somewhere. Total scam alert!

This bloke said he was from energy care, but when I asked what the call was about, he mentioned something about heat loss in the road. I thought that sounded a bit dodgy. When I told him I wasn’t convinced he was legit, he just went and hung up on me. Very suspicious if you ask me.
