Some woman with an Asian accent called and said hackers had gotten into my phone and were up to no good. She asked me to press the Windows key plus R to 'help fix' it or something. Funny how the scammers pretend they're protecting you from hackers when they're the ones trying to mess you about. Total time wasters and pretty dodgy too!

Got a call from someone who sounded Asian or Indian, said they were from BT Openreach. There was so much background noise I could barely catch what he was saying. He claimed I’d "broken the internet" on my PC and that odd stuff was happening past midnight when I was meant to be "in bed with my family". Told him to piss off and ended the call straight away. Didn’t let him anywhere near my computer. Pretty sure he wanted me to log in and download some dodgy program to “fix” it. Watch out for that number, it's dodgy!

Called today at 11:35am by a man with an Asian accent claiming my BT broadband was about to be cut off due to some illegal stuff. I told him straight up "You’re a scammer, stop wasting my time" and he just ended the call.

Got a call from 00983002 the other day. The guy on the line had a really thick South Asian accent and claimed he was ringing from BT. He said my internet was about to get cut off. I told him BT ain't my provider, so they can’t just switch me off. He started blabbering on about some rules or whatever, and when I asked for proof, he just told me to look it up on Google. I said I’m well-aware how things work round here, and that’s when he got rude, started swearing and all. Eventually, I just ended the call. This isn't the first time I’ve had someone pretending to be from BT call me.

Some bloke called Dave Blackwell ringed me today, sounded like typical Asian geezer who probably can't spell his own name unless it's in front of him. Said there was problems with my broadband and asked if I was the main user of the computer. Well no, it’s my kids on games mostly and everything's fine with my connection. He claimed to be from BT, so I asked if he meant OpenReach, then he went quiet before saying “yeah, we're with BT”. Told him he was talking rubbish and to jog on.

He said his name was Dave and that he rang from some telecom company, saying my internet was gonna get cut off 'cause it was showing some errors. I asked if it was just my computer or if others nearby had the same issue, he said it was only mine. So I told him I wasn’t convinced and to stop calling me.

Got a call from someone saying they were from "British Telecom", telling me my internet was about to be cut off due to some error on my PC. He asked if I wanted to give him remote access to sort it out. Just another tech scam like many I've heard about. Reported it but doubt it’ll make much difference.

I contacted EE/Orange and they assured me they’d look into the issue and get back to me. Little did I know, the call I received later was from some chap in Delhi on the number 00983002, who tried to pull a fast one on me - quite poorly, I might add. What’s baffling is that they continue to harass me with their persistent calls. Next time they bother me, I might just grab a whistle and give them a blast that’ll shatter their eardrums!

Got a call from this number on 3rd October 2016. The bloke was absolutely horrible, making really vulgar comments about wanting to come round and bragging about his size or something. I told him I was going to report him to the cops, but he just kept going on. Eventually, I just ended the call. It really shook me up since I’ve never had a call that nasty before. At first, I thought it was just another annoying telemarketer, which I get loads of, especially from callers with Asian accents like this one.

This number rang me earlier, thought it was just another spam call. An Asian bloke answered, but he was really gross, started saying he wanted to have sex with me, claiming he had 9 inches and wanted to show up at my place, all sorts of nasty stuff. I told him I’d be reporting him to the cops but he kept going. I ended the call quickly. I’m quite shaken, never had anything like that happen before. Just a heads up to anyone else in case it comes up. Not sure who I’m meant to report this to though :(

Just got a call not long ago from a lady with a foreign accent claiming to be from BT, saying my internet would be cut off because of a virus on my PC messing up the router. I asked for the account holder's name and she said it was my mum's late husband's name, who's passed away recently. I told her that wasn't right and they ended the call. I asked for specific dates, and the lady just repeated 'the last two weeks' - which was funny since I’ve been away on holiday that whole time! 00983002 Got a silent ring the first time, but then they called back the next day saying they were from "btinternet" and threatening to cut off my line cos hackers were using it. They wanted me to switch on my PC and do what they said. When I said no, they just told me to "**** off". Knew straight away it was dodgy since I’m not even a BT customer.

Instantly knew it was dodgy when they told me to open my laptop, ive fallen for these scams before and it’s so frustrating! These scammers are absolute rubbish, seriously someone needs to step in. Some bloke called saying his name was Harry and claimed he was from BT, saying my internet would be cut off today cause it’d been hacked. He wanted me to open Windows and type in a code he gave me. I was already a bit iffy about it and told him I use a Chromebook, not Windows. He called me a liar and told me to borrow a neighbour’s computer to fix it. I said no way, and he just said ‘wait and see what happens’. Proper dodgy call.

14:05 18/8/16 and 09:45 19/8/16, Indian scammers struck again. Looks like they've switched to a different number this time. Definitely the same lot behind it. I reckon there's some dodgy call centre somewhere, maybe in Kolkata, West Bengal or Kota in Pakistan. They’re proper rotters. Absolute p******. Sometimes I wish I knew exactly where they were so I could send something nasty their way.

I’ve had calls non-stop from loads of firms and scam artists even after putting my number on the TPS and other do-not-call lists. This is honestly just bullying. My mum was really upset when some rude bloke from Pakistan told her to die from cancer and then just hung up. The UK’s standards have really gone downhill.

Total scam alert! Some guy claiming to be from BT called me, but it was obviously a man from India pretending there’s an issue with my laptop. Said someone was attempting to hack into it, which is rubbish because my laptop’s all good. I use Norton antivirus and it always picks up any threats, so there’s nothing wrong. If this number pops up on your phone, just don’t pick up!

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent claiming he was from B.T., saying my internet was about to be disconnected because my neighbours were using it. Got a call from someone who said they were from BT’s Technical Department. They told me our computers were showing error codes and that our broadband was set to be cut off today. It caught me off guard since we’re a business with a secure hosted setup, so I knew none of our machines could have those errors. As soon as I mentioned we’re a business, the caller hung up straight away. I reckon their real goal is to trick home users into handing over security details.

Had a call from this number at 14:19 on the 12th of April, 2016. The chap on the other end had a pronounced Indian accent and there was quite a bit of background chatter making it difficult to hear. He said he was ringing from British Telecom, but I decided to hang up. I'm planning to reach out to BT about this.

Got a call from someone saying they were from TalkTalk, telling me that folks had been using my IP address and they needed to send an engineer for £5. Then they asked for my bank info - no way! I phoned TalkTalk myself and turns out it’s a total scam.
