I got a call from 00970599595960, they just said hi and then ended the call straight away.

I received a call this morning at half past seven from a woman who had an Asian accent. She claimed to be from Microsoft's Control Centre. I decided to end the call immediately.

Received a call bright and early at 7.58 this morning. Just as I picked up, the line went dead. I tried 1471 to trace the number, and it turned out to be 0097059007. Quite mysterious!

This number is bothering me again with unwanted calls. Anyone got any idea how to block it? It seems to be getting around the TPS rules.

When I initially mentioned I was using a Macbook instead of a Windows PC, their reaction was far from favourable. They stubbornly insisted that I should 'access my computer' as if I were using the latter! What's more, they refused to acknowledge my qualifications as a certified Microsoft engineer. Their dismissive retort of 'load of rubbish' hinted that they might not be quite who they claimed to be! What a laugh! Best to either cut the call short or, if you're in a playful mood, keep them on the line for a bit before saying goodbye! Cheeky, isn't it? :)

Annoying caller rang from 0097059007. Every time I pick up, they hang up if I don’t say anything. But if I do respond, I can hear some foreign chatter in the background. Quite irritating, to say the least!

Got a couple of calls last week, not sure who the first one was from, but today around noon it was some garbled voice just repeating itself before hanging up. Before Christmas I actually fell for the Microsoft scam, didn’t even realise it was a thing. They managed to get into my bank account but thankfully the bank’s fraud team acted fast and froze everything right away. Be careful out there! If you don’t recognise the caller, just say you’ve contacted the police and most of the time they’ll end it. Since then, I've had more calls but they just drop off straight away.

Got two calls from this number just yesterday. Some bloke with an accent talking nonsense about my PC. Told him to leave me alone. Then today, the same number rings again (clearly not bothered about actually helping), but as soon as I pick up, they just hang up. Proper annoying.

Got the same here: rang me at 7am on Saturday and then twice this morning really early. Some Asian bloke who hung up on me, calling me mad and stupid when I asked him for my name and my computer info. Total SCAM. How the heck do we get these people to stop?

It's best to avoid calling back any numbers that are displayed on your phone, as every call is recorded and they can track the numbers that have been contacted. If you choose not to return the call, it makes it much harder for them to trace you again.

They rang a bunch of different departments at our place, probly ticking through the numbers. I work in IT, so I pretended to cooperate for a bit, got passed around as they thought I was playing their game. They asked me to open event viewer and point out all the scary errors & warnings that Windows normally throws up. I reckon they wanted me to install some dodgy software, but I got fed up (had real stuff to sort) and just ended the call.

Called three times today. First was at 8 in the morning with that typical Microsoft scam, same as every other day this week. The other calls just hung up because I didn’t say anything. Here’s a little tip - when you pick up, try not to speak right away. Loads of these are robo calls that drop if they don’t hear a voice quickly. I’m planning to ring Vodafone and ask if they can do something about these nuisance calls.

Got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent claiming he was from Microsoft, saying there was a problem with my computer. Wasn't falling for it, but I kept him on the line and faked following his instructions. I kept asking for more help, saying it “didn't work” each time. After about an hour, he finally gave up. Honestly, I enjoyed wasting his time instead of letting him scam someone else. If more people did this, it might help stop these crooks since no one else seems to be doing anything about it. Got a call from this number today. The guy sounded Asian, maybe Indian. I knew it was dodgy as soon as he mentioned "Microsoft computer." This was their second call within a few days. I tried keeping him on the line, and he got pretty annoyed. Once I said I worked in IT, he started swearing and said something really nasty about my wife - totally caught me off guard! Honestly, just grab a phone that supports t#### tech (sometimes called BT Call Guardian). It stops the phone from ringing when those annoying ppl call, but it still shows you who tried to get through. It’s honestly the simplest way to block unwanted calls since you don’t have to know the number beforehand.

Oh dear, where do I even begin with this chap? I certainly wouldn’t engage with him again; he really went to town in a rather unpleasant manner by probing into my family background.
