Got multiple calls from this number in the past few months, including twice this week, saying they were from Vodafone with deals for me. These muppets rang me up twice. Thankfully I was tied up the first time so I didn’t pick up. The second time I happened to be googling info about these con artists on this very site!! So I just let it ring and ring until they gave up after a few minutes. I’m on the TPS but it seems useless, they just tell you to report it to the information commission and if enough people complain, maybe they’ll look into it. Honestly, the TPS is a complete joke.

Got a random call from a number I didn’t recognise. I picked up but kept quiet. A woman with an accent I couldn’t place said “hello” a few times, but I didn’t reply, so she ended the call. You could hear the noise of a call centre behind her. Reading other reviews about this number, next time they ring, I’ll be blasting them with a loud whistle I bought just to deal with these scammers.

Got a ring from some guy called James claiming he was from Egypt, trying to sell EE phone deals. I quickly sussed it was dodgy, so I started going on about how his god is keeping tabs on him. Then I muttered some nonsense about a curse on him. Unfortunately, he just cut me off. Best avoid these calls.

Since I didn’t recognise the number, when an Indian accent came on asking me to verify my name, I just replied in German, and that shut things down pretty quick. Fingers crossed they get the message and don’t bother me again.

They ring up daily pretending to be from Vodafone trying to sell me a contract. I told em I owed Vodafone £600 (which is a fib) and the bloke says it'll be wiped clean with a new contract. Then he starts asking for my bank details. No chance, mate, buzz off.

Yeah, totally a scam, I usually just mess about with them for ages so they waste their time and don’t bug others as much. Keep them tied up and eventually they'll leave you alone. Sometimes I even chat in a silly Indian accent, seems to annoy them quite a bit. And if they ask your name, just say Ajay if you’re a bloke, or Ameena if you’re a lass. Chuck in some fake card info too, anything to slow ’em down ;) best of luck to everyone dealing with this!
