I usually don't pick up if the number’s unfamiliar, particularly when it’s not local or doesn’t seem to be from the UK at all. It’s just safer that way.

Got a call saying my broadband was about to be hacked and if I wanted my IP changed I should just press 1. Obviously I didn’t, just blocked the number straight away. Total scam.

Got a recorded call saying my internet’s gonna be disconnected. They called me like 5 times today. I only just bothered to look up the number now, but the message sounded exactly the same each time. I always hang up before they even explain what I’m supposed to do. Could be really dodgy if someone fell for it, but for me, it’s just super annoying and feels like harassment.

I've had three calls already today claiming my phone service will be disconnected within 24 hours. They want me to press 1 but there's no way I'm getting tricked by this scam. They ring me pretty much every day, though thankfully it's not always the same phone number.
