For the past few months, this number keeps ringing our landline. Usually, they don’t say much, but today was different - some bloke called Rick Taylor from a Windows Call Centre said there’s a virus on my computer. I’m 15 and honestly, it’s terrifying because they always ring when no one else is around. I’m sure it’s a scam and haven’t shared any details with them, but I’m really trying to find a way to get them to stop. It’s getting on my nerves big time.

Just today, 26th August 2013, I got a call from this number: 0075867151. Honestly, it’s a scam, they’re trying to get into your computer! Don’t pick up. Sometimes a man calls, other times a woman. They even use Skype, and on your caller ID it might say "OUT OF THE AREA." If you block anonymous callers, they still ring using this number: 0075867151. When they pretend to be from tech support, they ask loads of questions, making it easier for them to hack you. These people are total crooks, pretending to fix your computer but they’re just after your info.

Today I got a call from this number and they already had my name. I ended up speaking to a few people, all sounding like they were from India. They claimed they could fix some error messages by having me download a programme from www.ammyy.com. Everyone knows about the ammyy scam by now. One bloke called himself Rick Taylor and gave me the number 78775447, saying he was from some Windows support centre in Copenhagen. He also mentioned a site called Windowscare.net. I didn’t trust it, so I just hung up without downloading anything. Cheers, Klaus from Copenhagen, Denmark.

Got a call from this number today, some “microsoft service” chat, sounded like an Indian accent to me. I’m thinking maybe it’s just them checking to see if anyone’s in the house. If you don’t pick up for a few days, maybe they send someone local, like a “helper” or some kind of “collector” to your place? Bit worrying if that’s the case! From Denmark here.

I got a call from this number earlier today. It rang for around 15 seconds, but we just ignored it since the number looked unfamiliar. Feels like it could be one of those dodgy scam calls, maybe from somewhere in Russia.

Got six calls this week from the same number, but I couldn't pick up as I was tied up on another call. Pretty certain it’s some spam from Russia.

They rang me again today, must be the 10th or 20th time now... Told them they sounded Indian and to stop wasting their time calling me. Then they asked for my full name, so I just told them once again to never call me back. After that, they just hung up on me.

If you see two zeros at the start, that's usually a dead giveaway it's spam, not a regular Danish number. We’d reported that number and it’s been blocked, but they just keep on trying to ring folks with their scam. Just do a quick search for APTURO and you’ll find loads of info on them.

It's annoying how these telemarketers ring me up and actually use my name! Total spam, but I don’t get how they got it.

So, this number rang me up on Tuesday, claiming there was an issue with my Windows computer. But as soon as I mentioned I actually use Linux, the person just ended the call. Quite odd!

Got a call from someone claiming to be from an "internet centre" about my PC being a threat. Sounded like a stereotypical Indian scammer struggling with English. Total nonsense.
