On Tuesday 7th July 2020 at about 11.24am, my landline rang and I got a recorded message in crisp English with posh accent, saying it was HMRC and warning me about some dodgy transaction, implying I was in serious trouble. Then, barely a minute later, at 11.25, the same voice called my mobile from a UK number - 01204 077318, which I think is a Bolton area code. It’s pretty unsettling that whoever this is (maybe somewhere in Russia or Bolton?) has access to both my home and mobile numbers!

So I got a call on my landline just after 11am on Tuesday 7th July 2020, with a posh English accent, supposedly from HMRC claiming there was some dodgy transaction and warning me I was in serious trouble. Then, only a minute later at 11:25, the same call, same voice, rings my mobile from a UK number 01204 077318, which seems to be from Bolton. It's pretty unnerving to think this person, maybe somewhere in Russia or Bolton, has both my phone numbers!
