Some bloke with an Indian accent rang me on 2 Nov claiming he was from TalkTalk. I told him straight away it was a scam and that I wasn’t interested. There was a long pause and then he muttered “you’re bad”. Maybe I am, but I ain’t daft!

This number gave me a ring today at 10.44 but stopped ringing after a few seconds. Later on, I got a call from a withheld number and a man with a thick Indian accent asked if I was the person he wanted by name, saying he was from TalkTalk. Since I know TalkTalk doesn’t usually call me, I just said ‘No, I don’t think so’ and ended the call.

Got a call from this number today but lucky for me I didn’t pick up. I checked 1471 afterwards and stumbled upon this site and that number. My TalkTalk line was just fixed so the timing for these scammers was bang on, but I’m not falling for it.

Got a call from an Indian woman at 006690 around 9 in the morning on 2/11/15. Her English wasn’t great, but she knew my name and that I use TalkTalk. She asked me to sit by my computer so she could help fix my TalkTalk issues. The only issue I’ve got is probably being one of the many who've had their info nicked from TalkTalk. I told her to get lost and ended the call!

Got a call from an Asian guy saying he was with TalkTalk. He used my name and mentioned that I'd been having computer issues for a couple of weeks. I told him nothing was wrong. He kept asking me to switch my computer on. When I refused, he just ended the call. Then a few days later, an Asian woman rang from the same number, also saying she was from TalkTalk and wanted me to power up my computer. I just hung up straight away.

Got a call around 7.20 this morning, and the person on the line said something about happy birthday. When I asked who they were, they just hung up. The accent sounded like it might’ve been Asian.

Got a call this morning around half past nine from a guy who sounded Asian. He claimed to be representing Talk Talk. I told him I don’t use Talk Talk anymore and called him out for being a scammer before ending the call. Funny enough, I actually stopped being a Talk Talk customer back in March, so it seems these scammers even get hold of numbers from people who used to be with them.

A man with an Asian accent rang me saying he was from TalkTalk’s technical team. He told me there was a problem with my internet connection and that my computer was infected. He said he could show me the issue. I told him my computer was off, and he said he'd wait for me to switch it on. Then I told him to hang on and just ended the call. He rang back about 5 times in the next minute, but I just let the answerphone pick up. He never left a message. At no point did he ask me to prove who I was or do any kind of security check. Seems like he already had all my info.

Phone rang just after 7:30 in the morning, didn’t pick up but tried a 1471 code, same number called back saying they were from TalkTalk and my PC had a virus. Asked me to switch it on so they could help. Alarm bells rang immediately, so I asked, “Who exactly are you trying to reach?” They didn’t even mention my name or ask for any verification. They gave some random name and I replied, “That’s not me!” Then they just hung up. Definitely a dodgy scam trying to exploit the TalkTalk breach panic.

##BEWARE SCAM## Got a call from someone called "Steve" asking if I was having problems with my Talk Talk internet. Sure, I’ve had minor glitches, but nothing serious enough for a call like that (mostly from me hooking up loads of gadgets!). He wanted remote access to my PC. I asked what exactly he’d be doing - pressing which buttons and all - then said I couldn’t do it as I was at work. He then started swearing at me, telling me to f##k off repeatedly before hanging up. I’ve let Talk Talk know about it now.

Got a call from an Asian guy who said he was from TT. He called me by a first name close to mine and got the surname right. I asked him three times what the name was he used. Then he said they were getting loads of error messages from my TalkTalk broadband. I told him that’s odd because it’s working fine here. After that, I just ended the call.
