So my wife answered this call, and the caller was asking for whoever handles computer repairs. She jotted down the number, but honestly, I'm not planning on ringing them back!

Some bloke rang me pretending to be from Microsoft tech support, saying my PC was full of viruses and malware, putting me at risk online. He even knew my name and mentioned my laptop’s product code and the version of Windows I’ve got. He told me to switch my computer on and follow what he said, but when I said I was busy, he got really rude and sharp. I ended the call and he phoned me again, but I just let it ring out. Definitely a scam, so don’t answer if this number pops up.

Got a call from 005742931090 around 2:05 this afternoon. The ansafone picked up and quickly hung up. Bit odd, but all good.

Just ignore and end the call. Like many others mentioned, this caller claims there's an issue with your PC. They wanted me to turn my laptop on and press some keys, but as soon as they said that, I cut the call. Looks like they want to remotely control your computer, which is really risky.

Got a call at 9:48 this morning from a bloke who called himself Mr Ronsmith, claiming to be from some Windows tech support. He reckoned my computer was infected with some nasty malware and asked if I could turn it on so he could look into it. I didn't let him and told him to call back later. He said he would ring this afternoon, but I’m not bothering to pick up. Sounds dodgy to me, definitely not Windows.

I’ve been getting calls from the same number like three or four times daily, and now I just ignore them. They’re really annoying. One time I picked up and normally there’s no one on the other end - I think it’s an automated dialer. But once a guy actually spoke, and when I told him to stop calling me, he just ended the call.

Got a call from this number earlier today. When I picked up, I thought no one was on the other end. Then a guy quietly said “hello”, I replied, and he just hung up straight away. This sort of thing has been happening a fair bit recently, but from all sorts of different numbers. Last spring, I had calls from supposed TalkTalk hackers (not this one though), and since then, these strange calls keep coming from various places. I’m definitely marking this one as suspicious.

Just to clear up my last comment, they called just a bit over 30 mins ago, not 210 or anything like that.
