I've got my phone set to block international calls so it never buzzes for these sorts of numbers. Shame, because I quite like messing about with these p###### until they catch on!

had a call from some bloke called peter claiming to be from bat’s technical team. he was Asian and right when he started, i could tell it was a scam and just put the phone down. seriously, they must think we’re total muppets to fall for that rubbish.

Got calls every single day from some guy claiming to be from BT, Indian bloke or something. Honestly, sounds like a load of rubbish - feels like he thinks I'm daft. Must be some people actually falling for it though, shame really :-(

A persistent lady called me repeatedly and I politely declined to cooperate with her request. I expressed my belief that her intentions were questionable, especially when she asked me to turn on my computer so she could assist me with alleged issues. I informed her that I would prefer to contact my service provider, BT, to ensure the legitimacy of the call. However, she insisted on arranging a time for her to call me back instead of giving me the opportunity to verify their authenticity independently. Despite my repeated explanation about the possibility of a scam, the lady claimed that her company was a reputable one with numerous customers and assured me that they would certainly give me a callback. Out of frustration, I reasserted my certainty regarding their fraudulent activities and firmly requested that they refrain from calling again. I ended the conversation by hanging up the phone.

I told the person they were scammers, what a bunch of tossers!

Earlier today, I received a call from a young woman with an Indian accent claiming to be from BT. She mentioned our recent internet issue, which was actually true, and said that the problem would be resolved by entering a code for an update. Initially, I had some doubts about this situation. However, I realized that something was not right and quickly told the person on the phone that I had to leave. I immediately ended the call. Later, I decided to search for the number online and came across your website with similar comments.

Once again, no one said a word until the call just dropped. It honestly feels like they know exactly the worst possible moment to call! Getting really fed up with it now.

I got a call from a guy with an accent who claimed there was an issue with my internet. I told him to wait a moment while I switched on my laptop, but instead I just played some tunes on my iPad and left the phone next to it. When I checked back after about five minutes, he’d already hung up.

I received a call purporting to be from BT, informing me that my computer was being utilized for illegal activities by foreign entities. The person on the line offered assistance and instructed me to input a specific code on my computer. I immediately realized this was a scam and did not comply. The caller then threatened that if we refused to follow their instructions, the police would come to arrest us. It is alarming to witness scammers taking their fraudulent tactics to such extreme measures. Needless to say, I refrained from engaging any further with the caller.

##SCAM ALERT## Got a call claiming they were from BT's tech team. This is the third time today, all different numbers but using the exact same lines. Honestly, just stop bothering me!

Got a call from 004657642 claiming to be from BT, threatening to disconnect my internet. Turns out it was a total scam, and the number they gave for me to call back was fake. I ended up ringing BT directly to check, and they confirmed it wasn’t them.

Got a call from someone called Alex, said he was from BT. Just hung up straight away. I’ve decided I’m not taking calls from Asians now. That’s it for me!

Got a call from a woman claiming to be from BT, saying someone else was using my broadband and trying to hack me through another IP. I told her I’ve got an IT degree and she was just making stuff up, definitely not a BT rep. She didn’t bother arguing and just cut me off. Seriously, don’t share any details with these lot, they’re just after info.

Total rip off, these lot are just scammers.

Got a call from some bloke with an Indian accent claiming he was Mark from BT, saying he needed to discuss my broadband. Felt suspicious straight away and just hung up.

A man from India, who claimed to represent BT and knew my name, contacted me and claimed that people were illegally using my Internet connection. He insisted on this matter, even after I repeatedly informed him that I recognized him as a scammer and mentioned that I worked for my Internet Service Provider (ISP). I suggested that since he seemed to have information regarding my account, he should write to me confirming all the details of his claims, and only then would I be willing to contact him. He continued to argue with me, stating that if I didn't believe him, he would transfer me to his supervisor. Feeling frustrated, I decided I had enough and finally hung up on him.

Got a call from some guy named “Michael” claiming he was ringing from BT, but it was clearly just another scam. Sounds like he was trying to get my details or something. Typical call centre nonsense!

Looks like this number is trying to pull a scam. They told me my internet service would be cut off because supposedly loads of people have been using it without my OK or even knowing about it. Don’t share any details with them, just end the call. Then, ring your broadband company using a separate phone, like your mobile, and double-check what’s really going on!

No more than ten minutes after I told her off and ended the call, another call came through - this time a guy with a similar accent repeating the exact same story. Total scam if you ask me.
