Looks like they were using some sort of autodialler or something, no one ever picked up (good for them, I guess).

I've got my phone set to block international calls so it never buzzes for these sorts of numbers. Shame, because I quite like messing about with these p###### until they catch on!

This number keeps ringing me two or three times daily. Since my phone is set up for my husband's eyesight issues, it doesn't show who's calling, so I have to pick up. If my phone showed caller ID, I'd just ignore it. Seems like loads of people have had the same trouble with this number - you'd think something would be done about it by now.

had a call from some bloke called peter claiming to be from bat’s technical team. he was Asian and right when he started, i could tell it was a scam and just put the phone down. seriously, they must think we’re total muppets to fall for that rubbish.

Got calls every single day from some guy claiming to be from BT, Indian bloke or something. Honestly, sounds like a load of rubbish - feels like he thinks I'm daft. Must be some people actually falling for it though, shame really :-(

Had a call from a very insistent woman. I wasn’t having any of it and told her I reckoned it was a scam, especially when she wanted me to switch on my computer so she could “show” me the issues. I said I’d contact BT myself to make sure I was speaking to a genuine rep, but she insisted I give her a time to call me back. I once again said I thought it was a scam and that I’d ring BT directly. She kept going on about how they were a big company with loads of customers and would call me again. I put my foot down and said, “No, I’m the one who knows what’s going on here. Don’t call me again.” Then I ended the call.

Today I got a call from a woman who spoke with an Indian accent. She claimed to be from BT, saying it was about an issue we'd been having with our internet (which is true). She said she needed to enter a code to fix the problem. That bit made me suspicious... So I told her I had to leave and quickly ended the call. I then checked the number and came across your page full of similar stories.

Got a call on my home phone from a bloke named Dave who had a really thick accent. He said someone was messing with my internet and I had to sort out my security. I played along for a bit but then told him no way, asked him to send me an email instead and ended the call. Later, my mobile buzzed with a call from 07526147195, some guy said he wanted to fix my debt and internet issues - pretty sure it was the same chap. Didn’t bother listening, just hung up and blocked the number!

I always just let international calls go to voicemail, cos normally they don’t leave a thing. But this time, the number actually showed up so I figured I’d have a look on here. As expected, it was scammers again, trying that old trick to get into my laptop - no way that’s happening! Had PlusNet block the number through 1572 straight away.

I got a call from a guy with an accent who claimed there was an issue with my internet. I told him to wait a moment while I switched on my laptop, but instead I just played some tunes on my iPad and left the phone next to it. When I checked back after about five minutes, he’d already hung up.

Got a call from someone saying they were from BT, telling me my computer was involved in some kind of illegal stuff abroad. He said he could fix it if I typed in some code on my PC?? Yeah right. Then he threatened that if I didn’t comply the cops would show up to arrest me. Honestly, scams have gone beyond a joke now. In the end, he started swearing at me and hung up.

Got a call from a guy named David, sounded Indian, then a woman called Britney chimed in. They warned me my internet would be cut off for a whole month in a couple of hours unless I logged in so they could 'show me the issues'. Next thing, they wanted me to let them control my computer remotely. Honestly, don’t fall for this trick, these scammers are really pushing it now. When I mentioned I worked in the police, it didn’t even faze them!

I got a call from someone called Jennifer claiming to be from BT, but you could tell straight away she was speaking with a strong Indian accent and obviously calling from a call centre. When I told her there are loads of scams going about and I wasn’t convinced she really worked for BT, she just abruptly ended the call.

I told her I’ve got an IT degree and she was just making stuff up, definitely not a BT rep. She didn’t bother arguing and just cut me off. Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent saying he was from BT and even used my name. He said some dodgy people were using my internet without me knowing and warned I’d lose my service in a day. I told him straight that I wasn’t falling for it - even mentioned I work for my own internet provider. I asked him to send me something in writing to back up what he was saying since he seemed to know about my account. He kept pushing and said he’d get his supervisor if I wasn’t convinced. Eventually I’d had enough of the hassle and just ended the call.

These people said they were from BT, warning me my internet would stop in a day if I didn’t let them ‘sort it out’. I asked for a contact number and they gave me 01793596931 - which I later found out is listed as a scam or nuisance caller. Honestly, keep away from your devices if they ring you!

Looks like this number is trying to pull a scam. They told me my internet service would be cut off because supposedly loads of people have been using it without my OK or even knowing about it. Don’t share any details with them, just end the call. Then, ring your broadband company using a separate phone, like your mobile, and double-check what’s really going on!
