I've come across an Italian deli, and it appears they’re using various phone numbers along with a website. It seems they’re trying to entice folks into ordering some nosh. I’d advise against answering their calls.

Der Kerl war kaum zu verstehen, so stark war sein italienischer Akzent, gepaart mit einem Hauch von Slowakisch. Er wollte wissen, ob ich italienisches Essen mag. I've received several calls from this number (00390495199783) since 2010, but thankfully, I was out each time it rang. I'm quite certain I wouldn't have answered anyway, as I don't anticipate any calls from Italy. It feels quite suspicious, and I suspect these could be scammers at play. Just a word of advice: be cautious about which calls you pick up, and for goodness' sake, don’t call back! It could end up costing you a pretty penny.

This isn’t the first instance we've had calls looking for Mr or Mrs Speakman, but it's the first time it's come from this particular number. I had a distinctly parallel encounter. There was quite an extensive selection of Italian delicacies on offer, but they hardly piqued my interest since we whip up our own pasta and pesto at home, plus we source our olive oil straight from Italian producers. Earlier today, precisely at 15:56, I received a rather peculiar call from this number. The person on the other end inquired if I had an affinity for Italian cuisine. I promptly replied in the negative and requested that they refrain from calling me again. To my surprise, 'she' then proceeded to threaten me with a barrage of daily calls until I supposedly came around to the idea of Italian food, before abruptly hanging up. Frankly, it's utterly abysmal sales tactics; do they honestly believe that intimidation will yield a positive response?!

I got completely caught out with this situation when I opted for a food delivery, only to be informed I could settle the bill after trying out the food. I had a chat with Marco, and I made it crystal clear that £59 is far too excessive for what I consider my regular grocery shopping. When I raised this issue, I was told that I could contribute whatever amount I felt was fair. However, after ringing customer service, they insisted I must cough up the entire £59! This wasn't made obvious to me beforehand, and now I'm absolutely livid. Quite alike indeed! However, I wouldn't dream of sourcing Italian delicacies directly from Italy, especially when there's a fabulous Italian deli right here in Liverpool. The caller was courteous and relaxed, unlike the typical telemarketers who can be rather relentless. What a gig that must be, right?

I've received numerous calls from this number, all inquiring about someone by name, who we definitely do not know. Upon informing them of this fact, they had the audacity to accuse us of being dishonest! We reiterated that this individual doesn't reside here, only for the caller to threaten us with a barrage of up to 40 calls a day! What a shining example of professionalism, right? It appears this company has a bit of a disconnect regarding the time difference between the UK and Italy. I received an early morning call that was rather baffling - I struggled to make out what the caller was saying, and she just wouldn’t take no for an answer. Eventually, I had to hang up. I must say, I’m completely disheartened with how utterly ineffective Swisscom has proven to be in blocking such numbers. It’s rather unfortunate, but I’ve come to realise this is their reality. Honestly, don’t even bother calling their customer service; it seems they either lack the will or the ability to do anything about it. Does anyone know if other providers offer a blocking service? I’m absolutely ready to terminate my contract with Swisscom and switch to someone else.
