I've come across an Italian deli, and it appears they’re using various phone numbers along with a website. It seems they’re trying to entice folks into ordering some nosh. I’d advise against answering their calls.

Ich wurde regelrecht zugeschüttet mit Geschichten über italienische Küche. Als ich nach dem Standort der Werbung fragte, wollten sie mir das noch aufdränglicher machen. Kaum haben sie gemerkt, dass ich kein Interesse daran hatte und nur Informationen über sie benötigte, wurde sie richtig unhöflich und knallte den Hörer auf!

Heute, am 25. November 2010, erhielt ich um kurz vor zwölf einen Anruf von dieser Telefonnummer. Der Kerl war kaum zu verstehen, so stark war sein italienischer Akzent, gepaart mit einem Hauch von Slowakisch. Er wollte wissen, ob ich italienisches Essen mag. Ich habe ihm erläutert, dass das nicht so mein Ding ist, und daraufhin legte er einfach auf.

I've received several calls from this number (00390495199783) since 2010, but thankfully, I was out each time it rang. I'm quite certain I wouldn't have answered anyway, as I don't anticipate any calls from Italy. It feels quite suspicious, and I suspect these could be scammers at play. Just a word of advice: be cautious about which calls you pick up, and for goodness' sake, don’t call back! It could end up costing you a pretty penny.

We got a call from this number earlier, someone was enquiring about a Mr Speakman. I told them there’s never been anyone with that name living here. We have had calls asking for a Mr or Mrs Speakman before, but never from this particular number. Pretty curious to know what names others were asking about from different numbers.

I've had pretty much the same thing happen to me. They rattled off a load of Italian food items but, honestly, I’m not bothered since we whip up our own pasta and pesto, plus we get olive oil straight from Italy. At 3.56 pm today, I got a call from this number asking if I fancied Italian food. I told them I didn't and asked them not to call back. Then, the woman on the other end said she'd keep ringing me every day until I changed my mind, and then just hung up. Seriously, that’s the most terrible sales tactic I’ve ever come across - do they really expect that to work on anyone?!

I got caught out by this and ordered the food, thinking I could pay after trying it. I told Marco straight up that spending 59 quid on this was nuts since that’s what I usually spend on a week’s shop. He assured me I could pay whatever I felt was fair. But then when I spoke to customer service, they insisted I had to pay the full 59! That wasn’t explained at all and now I’m proper annoyed. I’m fine with paying for what I’ve used and sending the rest back, but I’m not forking out for a courier to collect it. What should I do about this?

Got a call from 00390495199783 earlier. The person didn’t say who they were, but somehow they already knew my name and asked if it was correct. When I said yes, they just hung up straight away. Feels a bit suspicious, like it might end up costing me loads. So if you get a call from this number, best thing to do is just ignore it and hang up quick.

Kind of the same for me. I wouldn't bother getting Italian food straight from Italy when there's a brilliant little Italian shop just around the corner in Liverpool. The caller was quite nice and didn’t shove their stuff down my throat like most sales calls. Tough gig that, calling people all day long, right?

They've phoned us loads of times looking for someone we ain’t ever heard of. When we said we didn’t know them, they accused us of not being truthful! We told them the person didn’t live here at all, yet they said they’d keep calling up to 40 times every day. What a brilliant way to run a company... not! We’re sorting out blocking the number now.

This morning I got a call from this number out of the blue, they wanted to talk to my mum who’s been gone for more than a year and a half. It really upset me. I just ended the call and have now blocked the number so they can't bother me again.

They clearly haven't got a clue about the time difference between Italy and the UK. I got a call first thing in the morning and could hardly catch what the woman was saying, but she just wouldn’t give up. After a while, I just hung up. The only way I figured out who they were was by looking them up on this site. Blocking these annoying overseas calls seems like a nightmare.

Had a look at what others said about this number on here... no stress about them phoning me again.

Tip for today... get yourself one of those call blocker devices, seriously, they're as valuable as a big plate of pasta from Italy!!

I must say, I’m completely disheartened with how utterly ineffective Swisscom has proven to be in blocking such numbers. It’s rather unfortunate, but I’ve come to realise this is their reality. Honestly, don’t even bother calling their customer service; it seems they either lack the will or the ability to do anything about it. Does anyone know if other providers offer a blocking service? I’m absolutely ready to terminate my contract with Swisscom and switch to someone else.

Got a call out of the blue from this number earlier. When I answered, the person was quite abrupt and snapped, "What do you want?" right from the start. She claimed to be calling from Italy and said I was being rude. I replied, "I'm really busy, so what’s this about?" Then she dropped some swears and ended the call. Lovely experience. After a quick search, looks like it’s some Italian business dealing in speciality products. They definitely need some better staff training and a clearer sense of who they’re calling.
