Got a call from someone saying they were with TalkTalk, told me my internet got hacked or sumting. Then they threatened to cut off my connection if I didn’t follow their instructions. Proper dodgy!

I've come to realise that 0039 isn’t a real area code at all.

For the past few days, I’ve been getting calls from this number pretty much every day. I usually don’t pick up, but once I did and it turned out to be some stuff about Olive Oil. I’ve set my voicemail now to warn that if they don’t leave a message, I’ll block the number!

Got a call from a woman named 'Marta' claiming to represent 'Dermafuture' skincare, linked to some dermatology lab in Switzerland. When I asked how they obtained my number, she said it was picked at random. I told her I’d be reporting the call to the ICO and then hung up. Just the day before, I spotted a call from a number like this but didn’t pick up. It's really frustrating to get these foreign calls, especially since the TPS can’t seem to block them.

I got a call from a lovely Italian woman who was really polite and just doing her job. She asked me about the kind of Italian food I like and dislike, so I answered her questions. Turns out she’s sending me a free cookbook as a little thank you! I only gave her my name and the address for delivery - no bank details or anything like that. Fingers crossed the book actually shows up but either way, I think I brightened her day a bit!

I got a call from someone named ‘Marta’ claiming to be ringing from a Swiss dermatology lab promoting ‘Dermafuture’ skincare. I normally don’t pick up numbers I don’t recognise, especially if they’re from overseas. If it’s important, they’ll probably leave a voicemail anyway.

Somebody said they were from Barclaycard and wanted to confirm a suspicious charge, but I reckon it was a scam. Could be pretty risky, watch out!

I got a call from this number and just let it go to voicemail. Whenever it starts with 00, I know it’s a dodgy call, so I just ignore it. Honestly, these spam calls are so tiresome. Last week, I even got one on my phone while I was on a cruise, claiming I was about to be arrested for tax evasion! That wasn’t the first time I’d heard that nonsense, but usually it’s on my landline, never my mobile. Just so you know, the genuine HMRC contact is 03002003500.

Got calls two days running from numbers that looked alike. Didn’t pick up ‘cause I guessed it was just someone wasting time, and after reading these comments I’m glad I ignored it. Blocked the number straight away. Cheers to everyone who posted here!

Within an hour I got two calls, first one was from some Indian guy but his accent was so thick I couldn’t make out what he was saying, ended up just hanging up. Then another call a bit later from a woman with an Indian accent again, and I just ended the call straight away. Honestly, I wouldn’t bother talking to anyone you don’t know.

Got a call from a lady who spoke English but said she was Italian, trying to sell me an Italian food box for 85 Euros. She was really pushy and kept ringing back, so I just ended the call. I think they tried calling me earlier when I wasn’t around. They seem to switch numbers a lot now.
