This morning I got a call about some £8,000 government loyalty grant. I listened for a bit but then told the bloke it sounded like a con to me. I hung up after saying goodbye. He phoned back and started swearing at me! After that, he called three more times, but I just ignored the calls. Fingers crossed he’s finally stopped now.

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent saying he was with the treasury grants department. He said I’d been given a government loyalty grant of £8,000 and to ring back on 02032398052. He told me to mention a ‘lucky’ reference number to get my cash and asked how I wanted to collect it. Sounded a bit dodgy to me.

Chatted with some bloke reading what sounded like a kids' story or something. He claimed to be from this 'government grant office', spinning a yarn about why I’d been chosen... loads of drivel really. Then he dropped a number for me to ring to get the £8,000 'grant' sorted: 0203 239 8052. I just let him go on and on, no way was I gonna let him trick some poor soul who might actually fall for it.

Got a call from this number earlier today. Picked up straight away but there wasn’t any response when I said hello. Then, after about 10 seconds, a woman’s voice came on saying "Goodbye," and the call just ended. Strange!

I reckon anyone who's a bit vulnerable could easily fall for this, especially with them saying the government is giving out £8000 like that!!!
