I was taken aback when an individual on the other line introduced himself with an English name but had an Indian accent. He politely requested my assistance in answering a few questions to remove my number from their database. However, I found it quite deceiving as the questions ended up being the typical ones about my age, residence, and car information. Frustrated, I decided to give up. They might not do this during a single phone call unless they identify the person as vulnerable, but instead spread it out over a series of calls while gathering information along the way. In summary, it is best to share no information with them and simply hang up. After all, nobody calls someone just to offer something for free.
