I received a call today from a lady with an Asian accent, informing me that there was a virus on my computer and claiming that Teamviewer could clean it remotely. However, I want to warn everyone that this is definitely a scam. It's important to note that although Teamviewer is a reputable company, the individuals involved in this call were clearly not. They abruptly ended the call when I refused to give my credit card details as requested. I find it concerning how they managed to obtain my number, as I am a TalkTalk customer and have an ex-directory number.

I received a phone call from an individual named "Ryan" with an Asian accent, who said he was from my actual internet service provider (ISP), Talktalk. He informed me that Talktalk's engineers had discovered some corrupted files on my computer that were causing my broadband to slow down. Claiming that he could resolve the issue, he proposed to "fix" my computer files and enhance the speed of my PC. I followed along and was led to the Teamviewer homepage. However, to confirm his legitimacy as a Talktalk representative, I requested verification. In response, he became verbally abusive and promptly terminated the call. This incident was clearly a scam, and it is advisable to steer clear.

I recently received a phone call from a certain number. I had the chance to converse with a woman who claimed to be from the Technical Department of my Broadband provider. She inquired about the performance of my broadband, mentioning that they had received alerts from their main server indicating that my computer was running slowly. And so, she offered her services to help tidy it up. Eventually, she asked me to navigate to a particular website on my computer. However, as I was occupied at that moment, I informed her that I couldn't attend to it now. Disappointingly, she promptly ended the call. It seems to be yet another scam.

I had an experience with an Asian lady who claimed to be from BT when she called me. I found it amusing because I am actually subscribed to Talk Talk. Despite this, she persisted in speaking to me. However, I chose to end the call abruptly. Interestingly, this is the second occasion where this same woman has attempted to contact me.

This scam is definitely ongoing and continues to deceive people today. A woman, who spoke with a foreign accent, contacted me and claimed to be with IPS. She stated that she would fix issues with my computer, which seemed quite ridiculous to me. It seems that the proper authorities take some time to catch up and stop these scams.

I received a phone call today, on Saturday, 11th May 2013. The caller asked me to switch on my computer. Realizing it was a scam, I decided to have some fun and kept the caller engaged in conversation for a while. Eventually, I confronted her by saying, "Do you think I'm daft?" and firmly advised her to stop bothering me. In response, she rudely replied with an obscene remark before repeatedly calling my landline and hurling abusive language at me.

Earlier today, I received a call from a lady with an Asian accent claiming to represent BT, Virgin, TalkTalk, and others. She mentioned that there was an issue with my computer that had been noticed when it was connected to the internet.
Being wary of potential scams, I asked her to provide the name of her company. She simply reiterated the list of internet service providers she allegedly worked for. In response, I informed her that I believed she was dishonest and intending to carry out unlawful and fraudulent activities. Shortly after, the call abruptly ended.
These individuals are not just bothersome callers, they are criminals.

The call just ended! Someone contacted our computer store! They continuously claimed there was an issue with my computer and requested that I connect with them so they could demonstrate. However, I promptly declined since we are a professional computer company. Their response was vulgar and threatening, saying, "F*** O** ... I will come and physically harm you, you horrible person!" Unfortunate turn of events... but luckily, I managed to record the conversation!

During tonight's phone call, I informed the gentleman on the other end that he was attempting to scam me. I explained that there was no issue with my computer; however, I failed to mention that I primarily use my iPad and iPhone for internet access. In response, he rudely told me to be quiet and listen. When I declined, he proceeded to tell me to leave him alone in a disrespectful manner.

I had an encounter with a phone scammer recently. A woman named Lynda called and tried convincing me to log onto my computer so they could address the supposed issue of it running slowly. I decided to play along and kept her on the line for a while, pretending that I was unable to access my computer. As a joke, I even offered to give her my credit card details so they could "fix" the problem. Surprisingly, she quickly hung up on me! To ensure they wouldn't bother anyone else, I kept my phone off the hook for an extended period of time.

Earlier today, I received a call from a company claiming to be affiliated with Talk Talk, my broadband provider. They informed me that they had detected errors on my line. To address the issue, they asked me to log on to Teamer. Once I logged in, they opened a temporary folder and claimed that these files were corrupt and responsible for slowing down my computer. Feeling skeptical, I asked whether they could verify my account, but they were unable to do so. They then insisted that they were working on behalf of multiple broadband companies. Frustrated and suspicious, I ended the call and disconnected the TeamViewer session.

Definitely a fraudulent activity.

Today at 16:30 (Monday, 29th April 2013), I received a call from a girl with an Indian accent claiming to be from a technical team. She stated that there were issues with my broadband line. I questioned her regarding the Internet Service Provider she worked for, and she provided me with a comprehensive list of practically every company imaginable! However, when I mentioned that my line was functioning properly, the girl abruptly ended the call.

Today, we received a call from someone claiming to handle virus problems on behalf of various broadband providers. They mentioned all the providers, but when I asked them to confirm who my provider was, they gave the wrong answer. Instead of pointing out their mistake, I asked what they wanted me to do. They instructed me to turn on my computer and provided a website for me to enter, promising to fix the viruses. At this point, I had heard enough and expressed my concerns about someone contacting me out of the blue and asking for access to my computer. I considered it highly suspicious. Immediately after expressing my suspicions, they hung up, confirming that it was indeed a scam. Without a doubt, it was a scam!

My elderly father received a call at 16:01 on 27th April 2013. The person on the phone convinced him that there were thousands of viruses on his talk talk account and that he needed to buy an antivirus program for £200. They managed to convince him to turn on his computer and search for a site on Google called 'team something'. They told him to enter some information. They claimed they were scanning his computer for viruses and insisted that AVG was not compatible. When my father mentioned discussing it with someone else, they abruptly ended the call. This incident deeply upset him and completely ruined his birthday dinner that evening.
