An Indian bloke rang my mum today, who's quite elderly, and she really believed there was something wrong with her computer because he claimed to be from BT. She kept trying to hang up but he just kept ringing back over and over for about an hour and around ten times! Eventually, I stepped in and managed to sort it out. Mum was absolutely shaken up by the whole thing. Can anyone advise me on how to block these annoying calls?

Got a call from someone who sounded Indian. He started cursing and even threatened my wife and daughter. Proper nasty behaviour.

Today, I got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent, number starting 0025489, warning me my internet would be disconnected in half an hour because someone was supposedly hacking into my account. He told me to log in straight away, but I told him I use Sky for my internet. He then said he had all the UK IP addresses on file or something. I refused to log in and just hung up. Pretty sure it was a scam.

Today, I got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent, number starting with 0025489, telling me my internet would be shut off in about half an hour because they said someone was trying to hack my account. They asked me to log into my account, but I told them I was with Sky. Apparently, he went on about having IP addresses for all over the UK. Asked me to log in and then I just hung up. Pretty sure it was a scam.

some bloke rang me saying his name was robin and warned me my bt broadband was gonna be off for a whole month! said i'd have to pay up to stop it happening, like some kinda ransom. well, my bt is still fine, so i'm sure that was a load of rubbish.

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent claiming to be from BT. He said someone was trying to hack into my internet and asked me to switch on my computer, which I told him was in a different room. When I asked how he could fix it if he couldn’t see the screen and he mentioned he didn’t have a mobile, I grew suspicious. I told him I didn’t think he was actually from BT, said cheers and ended the call.

Had a call earlier today from 0025489, and the bloke said, "Good afternoon madam, how's it going? This is Benjamin from BT regarding your internet." I just hung up straight away without replying.

This number rang me up and the person whos voice I heard ended up calling me a mother f***er, all this after I explained I was just using my mum’s phone and she doesn’t even have internet. They said they were from BT Openreach but I’m not sure thats true at all.

I got a call from someone claiming to be with BT Openreach in London. They told me our internet would be down for ten days due to some errors and a malware issue, plus apparently someone overseas had hacked into our connection. They started asking what kind of devices we use online and what we do on the internet, like checking emails or banking. Then they mentioned NatWest, saying they'd seen online banking from that bank on our line. I told them we don’t use NatWest, so they went on to ask which banks we do use. I wasn’t comfortable sharing that information, so I just refused. They muttered a bit before hanging up.
