Loads of people in the UK are getting bombarded with these wangiri scam calls from loads of dodgy numbers. If you call back without thinking, your phone bill could get wiped out and more calls will just keep coming. It’s pretty pointless trying to block them coz they just keep switching numbers all the time. Check out the hotspot map on this site and hit the 'action fraud' link, then head to the ‘reporting’ section. You don’t even need to sign up, and it’s just as quick as reporting here. Honestly, the only way to fight these scammers is to report them to the police.

Got a call at 3:52 in the morning! Luckily, my phone was buried in my jacket pocket so I didn’t catch it straight away. No clue what the caller wanted, but it felt a bit dodgy to me. If they’re trying to scam folk, they should learn about proper time zones first. What a load of muppets!
