I just got a ring from this number, some bloke claiming he was with the Windows tech squad. He asked if I owned my computer, I didn’t say anything and instead asked what it was about, then he hung up on me. Had a few dodgy calls like this last Monday from people saying they were with BT, but they never showed their number.

This guy claimed he was from my internet company and said there was an issue he could solve if I gave him access to my PC. When I told him I didn’t even have a computer, he started shouting and was really nasty. The bloke was Asian.

This morning at around 9:50, a guy named Daniel called. I told him straight away that my computer’s Windows had stopped working, and honestly, he just packed up and left me alone after that.

I've had a few calls from someone claiming to be from Microsoft's tech support. Sometimes I just tell them they’ve got the wrong number and that I don't own a computer. If they’re willing to fib, then I might as well do the same. Other times I get annoyed and shout at them, calling them scammers and fraudsters.

Got a call around 8.20 this morning from a lady asking if I owned a laptop. I said no, just an iPad Pro. Then she asked again if anyone in my family had one, and I admitted yes, someone does. She immediately accused me of lying. I said fine, I was. She then tried to scare me by saying if I didn’t switch on the laptop so she could fix some issue, by tomorrow I'd lose internet access on both my laptop and iPad because she'd cancel my licence. I just told her alright then, go ahead and block it. Bye.

Got a phone call today, 21/01/2017, from a man with an Asian accent claiming to be a tech support guy, asking questions about my computer. A few weeks back, a woman called with exactly the same spiel.
I've had quite a few chats with BT lately, and oddly enough, most of them were from Asian call centres, so it’s easy to see how people might get tricked by these scammers.
If you think about it, even if they do manage to nab these fraudsters - which I reckon hardly ever happens - there’s almost no real punishment. Maybe just a warning slap on the wrist... catch them and let them off.

Got a call at 7 in the morning, the typical Microsoft scam nonsense. These jokers keep ringing me again and again, and whatever you try, they just won’t give up. I’m with the others who say there needs to be tougher rules, better caller ID, and proper penalties. They just keep going because no one is putting in the work or resources to stop them.

This woman claimed she was ringing from London but it was clear she wasn’t, given the number on my screen. She actually knew my name and then went on about some problem with my computer. I just burst out laughing, called her a daft cow, and ended the call. Honestly, with all the media coverage these days exposing these kind of scams, how can anyone still fall for this rubbish?

So I picked up and the guy claimed he was calling from some global firm. He started talking about issues with my computer, but I told him I don’t even have one. He just hung up on me. I get loads of calls like that, trying to scare you about computer problems so they can trick you into giving them access and then charge you to fix fake viruses. Just a heads up - no one really knows what's on your laptop or computer, and if there were problems, they wouldn’t be calling you out of the blue. Stay sharp and don't get caught out by these scams.

Is there no way to get these annoying callers to chill out? My mum, who’s quite old, has been getting some strange calls from this gang and a bunch of others, and now she’s scared to pick up the phone. It’s really upsetting to see. They rang her at 7:30 in the morning and then again at 10:50 at night on a Saturday! A few weeks back I actually answered and made it crystal clear I wasn't falling for any of their rubbish scams. Still, they keep on ringing non-stop. Got a call from this number a couple of days ago and then twice this morning, once at 7:33am. I just left them go to voicemail - no need for an early wake-up call thanks! Weirdly, even though it started with "002 .", my phone didn't flag it as "INTERNATIONAL". Also, a couple days back I had two calls from 02087756657, one pretty early. I got a call from this number earlier, and when I told them I didn’t have a computer, the person on the other end turned really hostile.

Some weird number called me earlier, I didn’t pick up though. Had a quick search online and spotted some other peoples comments, cheers for that!

Tried ringing them but got nothing - I didn’t stick around for it to connect to some automatic dialler.

Got a call from some bloke named Ron claiming my PC was full of viruses and he could fix it. Then he passed me on to some “senior tech” guy who said their company was based in Middles... well, or so they said, using the postcode YB7 7RO. Turns out, that postcode isn’t real at all! I reported the whole thing to TotallyTalk, Microsoft, Acer, and even Gwent police. If you get a ring like that, just hang up and don’t share any info with them.

First he started with some rubbish about computer glitches, then when I cheekily told him his nonsense topped even his Dutch accent, the bloke from the Netherlands ended the call pretty sharpish.

Got a call from some guy, sounded Indian and his English was all over the place. Pretty sure it was a scam attempt.

fed up with this number calling me, some guy with an indian accent named ron rang and said my computer was damaged. he said if i turned it on he'd fix it. i said no way, then he threatened to turn it off for good so i couldn’t use it anymore. i told him to do it, then suddenly the call just dropped. quite dodgy if you ask me.

Hey guys, for anyone trying to stop these annoying calls, like this one and loads of others, check out the BT8500 phone. There’s loads of good feedback on it as a call blocker. I’ve owned mine for around two years now and haven’t had a single spam call since! Definitely worth spending a bit on. At first, it feels like your phone isn’t even ringing because it’s so silent! Hopefully this tip helps some of you out!

This number has been ringing non stop, like 10 calls in one day! I wouldn’t pick up, looks like some kinda scam to me.

For like 6 years now, this guy from India keeps ringing me non stop. At first I thought he was being friendly, but it got dodgy when he started asking for personal info. Nowadays if I pick up I just tell him to stop and quit fibbing! Usually he just drops the call after that! Really wish there was a way to block him completely. Anyone got any tips?

a bloke named ron rang me, spouting the usual microsoft nonsense, gave me a number to ring back - 0203 1295025. obviously, I didn’t bother calling. about 20 mins later, he rings again threatening to switch my computer off if I didn’t do what he said, claiming i’d lose access altogether. the number showed on 1471 as 002392354444. just another scammer trying to waste my time. told him to switch it off if he fancied, but my pc’s still running fine.

I got a call from some bloke saying he was from Microsoft, said he was authorised or something. We've got BT blocking dodgy calls but somehow this one slipped past. Total nuisance!

Got a couple of calls today from folks saying they were from Microsoft. They told me my computer was involved in setting up gambling and adult sites. Surprisingly, they had my full address and postcode, and also said they knew my IP address. They warned me that they’d shut down my laptop and that I’d end up needing a new one. But then they offered to guide me through some steps to safeguard it, saying I had to log on while we were still on the call.

been getting calls from this number for more than a year, easily 60, 70 times or even more. they used to claim they’re from microsoft, but they don’t say that now. recently one bloke told me he’s blocked me, so i just tell them i’ve already got blocked. no idea how to put a stop to these calls, they pop up a couple of times a week usually between 10 and 11 in the morning.

I’ve gotten calls from this number like 60 or 70 times in the past year, maybe even longer. They used to claim they were from Microsoft, but not lately. Just recently, some bloke tried to ‘block’ me, so now I just tell whoever calls that I’ve already blocked them. Can’t figure out how to make the calls stop though. Usually, I get a couple each week, almost always between 10 and 11 in the morning.

They wanted to talk to Mr or Mrs ... and when I told them Mr had passed away, they didn’t even blink. Then they claimed my computer was sending strange messages. I shot back, “That’s a scam!” and they just hung up. One time, they said they were from Microsoft, and I told them I don’t even own a computer (which isn’t true!). Really irritating calls.

Got a call from this guy from India who was really worried about a virus on my computer. The odd part? I’m using an Apple Mac, not Windows at all! Quite hilarious if you ask me.

Some woman with an Indian accent called, saying there was an issue with my computer and told me to turn it on. When I asked her for her full name and the company she was from, the line just cut off on me.

Some bloke called Ron with an Indian accent kept ringing me up saying he was from Microsoft and there were issues with my computer. I didn’t buy it at all and told him I’d be reporting the call to action fraud before hanging up. Felt really sketchy to me.

Some bloke rang me saying he was from Windows, telling me my computer was full of errors and might just crash soon - total scam!

Had a call earlier today from this number claiming my PC was sending out viruses and they'd fix it or my computer would crash for good. The caller said he was from the Windows Tech Support team. I tried to get a callback number and he gave me 020 03129 5025, but it didn’t seem legit at all. He introduced himself as Ron and gave some ID like MF7536. When I asked where he was calling from, he said UK but his strong Indian accent and dodgy English made me doubt that. Weirdly, he knew my address and my husband’s initial and surname. He said he could show me the licence number on my computer, but when I asked which device, he just waved it off saying the issue was with my "internet". I told him I'd ring him back at that number and then hung up. They called me thrice after that but left no messages on my answerphone. Felt like a total scam.

They called about my computer even tho I don't own one. Somehow they had my name and address and then said they needed to put a block on my computer. Strange!
