Today this number rang me a few times. With all the scams going around, I keep my voicemail on nonstop. I only pick up if I know who it is, otherwise, they’ll have to leave a message if they want to talk to me. Otherwise, I just don’t bother answering. Sometimes the calls come in waves, then there’s silence for a bit, before they start ringing again.

Total scam, got a call from a lady with an asian accent saying I’m owed a £200 refund from Sky for a year of being overcharged. She asked for my date of birth and credit card expiry date. Last week I installed one of those nuisance call blocker phones that's meant to stop all international calls, but we're still getting a few calls each day from numbers starting with 02018*****, 0012****** and 0022020******. This number rang me early, like around 8:45 in the morning. I picked up and said ‘hello,’ but they immediately just ended the call. I’ve since blocked them. I’ve had a bunch of calls like this before, mostly from unknown, withheld, or overseas numbers. Honestly, it’s best not to return these calls because you might get hit with expensive reverse charges. Avoid calling back, it’s not worth it.

Got a silent call after I answered and said hi, then the line just cut off. It’s always the same - government sluggishness at its finest. Phone companies cash in on this nonsense, yet they don’t bother stopping the people making these calls or the poor souls employed by them who clearly couldn’t care less about others. 21/11/2016. Got a call in the afternoon from someone with an Indian accent - really hard to make out what they were saying. They already had my name and address, and mentioned something about me having a direct debit with BT. They also said they knew I get loads of nuisance calls, like most people do, and claimed they could sort it with some call blocking. I ended the call straight away, telling them they were wasting my time BEFORE any talk about payments or anything.

On the morning of Friday 30th September at about 8.12, I got a call from this number about some issue with my computer. The bloke on the other end had a noticeable foreign accent, and I was quite blunt with him, asking why it was any of his business. He just cut me off immediately without even saying goodbye! There seems to be loads more scams nowadays, and it feels like hardly anything is being done to stop them. This number’s been flagged for ages, so why hasn’t it been blocked yet? It’s frustrating when phone providers and networks rake in so much money but don’t do nearly enough to shield us.

Today, 29.9.16, I got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent claiming to be from "Window Computer Centre." He kept saying my computer was under attack. I ended the call, but he phoned back straight away. Even though I told him I was skeptical, he wouldn’t back down. I just said alright, left the phone lying on the table, and walked off. After about five minutes, I tried to end the call again, and he called once more. I set the phone down on him again. He rang two further times, but I ignored it and let it go to voicemail, then he finally gave up. Honestly, this guy is a real nuisance and needs to be stopped.

Today, on the 29th of September, I received a call from a gentleman with an Indian accent claiming to be from the "Windows Computer Centre." He was adamant that my computer was under attack from hackers. I decided to end the call prematurely, but he persisted and rang back. When I expressed my scepticism towards his claims, his insistence only grew stronger. I eventually said "fine," left the phone on the table, and wandered off. After a few minutes of silence, I decided to disconnect, only for him to dial me again. I let the phone go unanswered for the next two calls, and it eventually went to my voicemail, where he simply disconnected. This individual is quite the nuisance and ought to be dealt with.

My elderly dad, who's 86, got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent. He said there was an issue with his Sky TV viewing card and needed to double-check bank info before sending a replacement. Seemed a bit fishy to me.

Got a call from this number saying they were from SKY. They said I was eligible for a new card with a 10% discount and wanted to send it out. Then they asked me to verify some details, and eventually they wanted my bank sort code and account number. Yeah, no thanks.

Got a call from someone saying they were from Windows, talking about stuff I’d been searching online. They kept saying they weren’t connected to Microsoft at all! Said it was some kind of courtesy call because of what I’d looked up. When I asked how they had my phone number or found my IP address, they couldn’t explain it. After messing about a bit, I told them they were just scammers and ended the call.

They rang up sayin they were from a windows company and started going on about my search history. Then suddenly said they had no connection to Microsoft at all!!! Said it was a courtesy call because of what I'd been searchin. Couldn't explain how they got my number or connected my IP to me. After I had a bit of banter and called them a scammer, I just hung up.

Had a call from Talk Talk bloke claiming there’s an issue with my internet. He told me to switch on my laptop immediately!! I told him I’m not falling for it and ended the call. Then got another call from an INTERNATIONAL number a few secs later, so I just hung up. Such a hassle!

Got a call from someone named Ryan yesterday and again today, claiming there was an issue with my BT internet. I told him I wasn’t having any issues and actually don’t even have BT internet. He just hung up. I checked the number by dialling 1471 and it came up as 00220202020.

These clowns called me claiming to be from British Gas. When I double-checked with BG, they said it wasn't them at all. They're really good at sounding legit, so watch out! I’m not really sure what they’re after since I don’t let the conversation go on long enough.
