They ring me loads of times daily, always saying they just need a minute and claiming they're from some sort of survey group. It's usually men with foreign accents. I've told them over and over to quit calling, but every time I say that, they just hang up. Then a few hours later, they’re back on the line again. Weirdly, they call me by an old postcode and house number I used to live at a decade ago - I assume because I kept the same phone number after moving.

I got a call from a call centre and a woman with a foreign accent was trying to address me by my name, but it wasn't quite right - probably because they're using some dodgy database. I could tell it was one of those spam or phishing calls straight away. When I asked how they got my number, she said it was from a publicly available list.
