If you answer, it probably marks your number down for potential scams later on. The prefix 0020 points to Egypt, apparently. Though, I’ve also heard it’s possible these calls come from spoofed numbers, so the actual caller hides behind a fake location. Honestly, it feels like telecom companies and authorities could clamp down on this a lot better if they put some effort in.

We've been receiving multiple calls from this particular number, but when we answer, there's nobody on the line. I believe this could be an automated system dialing various numbers to determine if they are active. If you pick up (confirming that your line is active), your number could be recorded for potential future 'scam' calls. The international dialing code '0020' does correspond to Egypt. However, it's also possible for callers to create a fake number, making it seem as though the call is originating from a different location. This allows them to conceal their true whereabouts. I do feel that telephone companies and governments could do more to combat this issue if they truly desired to take action.

I’ve just found out that this number is associated with money.co.uk and the folks over at Energy Helpline. They’re quite helpful when it comes to trimming down your energy bills, both for gas and electricity. Don’t be too quick to ignore their calls; not all callers are out to con you! Just a heads up, the date 15.03.2016 refers to the 15th of March in the year 2016.
