Cheers for the heads up. This number rang me earlier today and the person on the other end was asking if I was the one paying the phone bills. I told them I was just the cleaner. Then they asked when the bill payer would be around, and I said later tonight. When I tried to find out who they were, they hung up straight away. I looked up this site to see who had called and saw loads of reviews like this one. I’m defo going to block this number now. I had quite the odd encounter on the phone earlier! This chap was rambling on in a sluggish manner, almost as though he were under the influence or in a bit of a stupor. He claimed to be none other than Calvin Harris! When I inquired about the purpose of his call, he responded with something absurd like, “because the sky is so high.” How strange is that? I simply hung up on him after that.

As seniors, rising to answer the phone takes a bit of time, and we’ve truly had our fill of this. I just had a word with my grandmother, and she told me about a strange call she received. Someone claimed to be from a 'viewing' service and ominously warned her that a note would be delivered to her door tomorrow, instructing her not to open it under any circumstances-otherwise, she could be in serious trouble! Honestly, it’s appalling how low some people will stoop to frighten vulnerable elderly folks. I’ve spent time calming her down, explaining that these are nothing more than the most despicable con artists out there.

I've been receiving nuisance calls for ages now, and I must admit, I get a kick out of toying with them. Just today, I had two calls - the first one just went dead on me. Then "Catherine" on the line claimed to be from something like Hire Survey, but when I asked for clarification, she flatly refused to repeat the name or provide any details about where they were based. I tried to explain - not that it did any good - that I wanted to drop them a note since their colleagues had assured me before that I wouldn't be bothered again. I've had a chat with Derek, Donald, and David in the past too. The landline has been bombarded with calls from the aforementioned number for the past three days, not to mention several times last week and even last month. Just a short while ago, they called again. When I picked up, the caller asked if I was the person responsible for the bill. I inquired who I was speaking with, and he merely stated, "It's regarding your phone bill." I pressed for more details, "Who are you?" but he abruptly terminated the call! It's absolutely infuriating at this point!

So my mum got a call, then after a bit they asked my 13 year old sister if the person who owns the house was there. But when they handed the phone over to my mum, the caller just ended the call right away.

Picked up the phone and a bloke introduced himself as "Bob" from Sparta Phones. He inquired if I was the one responsible for the bill and then proceeded to ask if I was retired. When I replied that I wasn't, he cheekily remarked that I sounded like one! Quite rude, really, and then just disconnected. What on earth was that about? One might anticipate such juvenile antics from a bunch of youngsters thinking they're having a giggle, but to receive that kind of nonsense from an adult is rather disappointing.
