I got a call from this number and figured it could be the hospital, so I picked up. There was silence on the line, no one said a word, so I just hung up. Seems like it was one of those spam calls, which is pretty unsettling when no one talks.

Not sure who it was, but my BT8500 with call guardian just blocked it quietly without making a noise. I’m guessing it was some kind of scam call.

Had a call like a few here mention - something about Microsoft and virus issues. When I asked for her name, she hesitated and said "Ivy Smith." Bit odd for someone from India, I reckon. So I just told her to get lost and rot in misery. Poor old folks might get tricked by her rubbish though. Absolute losers.

I've been getting persistent calls on my mobile from this number, so I decided to block it. However, today they started ringing my landline instead. There’s nobody on the other end, but the ambient noise suggests it’s definitely a call centre. If this number pops up again, I’ll just flat-out ignore it.

This number has called me quite a few times. Every time I pick up, they just hang up straight away. I also got a call from 0203 152665, same as what others mentioned, trying to chat about computer stuff. I told them I’m not interested and to stop calling.

Received a call earlier today from someone claiming that my computer would be shut down if I didn’t switch it on so they could ‘repair’ it. Quite the cheek, I must say!

I received a call from someone claiming to be from the Windows technical support team. The chap asked if I was aware of the purpose of his call, to which I replied that he was clearly trying to pull a fast one on me. He then had the audacity to threaten me by saying he would shut down Windows on my machine and lock me out. I just chuckled and told him to give it a whirl. He promptly hung up - curious, isn't it? 😂

Had a rather dubious phone call earlier, supposedly from Microsoft. The chap on the line spoke in a rather garbled English, if I’m honest. He was keen to have me punch some numbers into my computer, but I decided to have a bit of fun and kept him chatting for about five minutes. Eventually, I made it clear that he had called my workplace and told him, rather firmly, to abandon his scammy ways and find himself an honest job instead! Well, that didn’t sit well with him, and he started hurling expletives my way, shouting “F... YOU F... YOU MOTHER F...KER!” I had no choice but to return the sentiment before ending the call. Quite the experience!

I got a voicemail that was just a jumble of noises, couldn't really make out if anyone was even speaking English. Sounds like there were about five people talking, and I'm pretty certain they were from somewhere in East Asia. Mostly just irritating, honestly.

Today at about 10:17 in the morning, I got a call from this number 00203114111. The person said there was an issue with my computer. Instantly, I told them to remove my number as I knew it was a con. The guy then turned it around and accused me of scamming, then started shouting and being rude. I just ended the call. Watch out for this number, they're trying to get access to your computer.

I got a call from a woman claiming to be with Microsoft Windows Security, saying my computer had some major issues and was downloading stuff from websites without me knowing. When I asked where she got my number from, she just clammed up. Then I mentioned that my husband works in IT and I’d have him check it out. She seemed surprised and asked if my husband really worked in IT, and then wanted to know if the computer was mine or his. I told her that didn’t matter and that I’d have him take a look anyway. I said thanks for the warning, and then she just ended the call.

I received a call from this number, and the person on the other end claimed to be a Microsoft technician. After having a bit of fun with him for about 15 minutes, I labelled him a scammer, to which he responded with some rather choice language and abruptly ended the call. Not long after, another individual from the same outfit rang me, insisting they were genuine Microsoft reps. But because I had supposedly taken up their time, they threatened to breach my computer and swipe my funds. Quite the laugh, really!

I shot off an email to Seagate posing a query, and lo and behold, they got back to me via email. The very next day, I received a phone call from this number, and then, wouldn't you know it, another call rolled in just two days later. What are the odds? It feels like someone is sharing my information. The first time they called, my response was rather curt, just three terse words. When they rang again, I wondered if they’d missed my initial reply, so I reiterated my answer and added a bit more detail for good measure. Quite the experience, I must say!

This number just buzzed me, and some bloke named Daniel claimed he was with Microsoft Windows. I asked twice which company he was with and he insisted it was Microsoft. When I asked where he was calling from, he said California. I told him straight up I don’t even own a computer or laptop and that it sounded like a total scam. He got so rude, kept going on about ‘who told you that rubbish’. Proper cheeky when nailed!

My missus absolutely enjoys these phone calls! She manages to string them along for about five to ten minutes, acting as if she’s completely clueless. Then, she hits them with a cheeky question about what a computer even is... You should hear the silence that follows as they come to grips with the fact they’ve been had before they promptly hang up. Got a ring from this number saying they were from Microsoft or Windows support. I said, "Do you honestly expect me to believe that?" and they just dropped the call. I got a call from 00203 114111, some bloke saying he was Roger Williams from Windows Tech Support, claiming my PC was infected. Sounded dodgy as he had a proper thick South Asian accent, so I figured that ain't his real name. I humoured him for a bit but soon got fed up and told him straight up he was a lying conman and a criminal. Being on the do-not-call list or having my number ex-directory clearly doesn’t stop these lot.

Got a call from this number that seems to be operating out of Egypt. It was a bloke with an American accent, but his delivery was quite slow and careful. Called me around 11:05 in the morning claiming to be from Microsoft. He asked if the computer belonged to me, so I played along and said yes. Then he launched into what sounded like a scripted spiel about some fault in my computer that was supposedly sending out random messages. I handed the phone over to my other half and, of course, the call just cut off. Pretty clear it was a con.

This morning at precisely 10:00 AM, I received a call on my private landline here in the UK. As soon as I answered, there was a noticeable delay before I heard a cacophony of background chatter, suggesting a call centre environment. The caller had a foreign accent yet spoke English fluently. He claimed to be from Microsoft and insisted that there was an issue with malware on my computer that needed urgent attention. He tried to coax me into turning on my device and following his guidance. I challenged him to prove that this wasn't just a scam. He maintained his composure and continued to press on, but I stood my ground. In the end, he hung up on me. Cheers, Richard.

The call was riddled with a fair bit of background clatter, making it quite difficult to hear properly. The grasp of English displayed was lacking, to say the least. After requesting them to repeat themselves thrice, I gathered they were supposedly reaching out regarding my computer, although I can't say for certain. If they're going to hire individuals to target English speakers with dubious intentions, they ought to ensure their staff have a decent handle on the language, don’t you think?
