[July 2016] 002023524561 - I answered this number for the third time, and an Indian-accented woman claimed to represent BT Internet, stating she was my internet provider (which they decidedly are not). She mentioned that my computer had been sending numerous error reports indicating it was infected with a virus. When I questioned her, she switched her story, saying she was affiliated with BT Openreach instead. She stumbled when asked for my IP address, getting it completely wrong. Despite having my name, address, and phone number (thanks to the electoral register), she could not clarify how she supposedly received the error notifications (SMTP, mail, etc.). Honestly, it was a feeble scam, filled with nonsense all the way through. Best to steer clear and ignore these calls. Trust me, there's no such thing as your computer sending out error messages!
