10 yearsSomebody rang me talking about my computer, but I don’t have one, so I told them I wasn’t bothered. There was no answer, so I just said “cheers” and put the phone down. A few seconds later, they called back asking why I’d ended the call. I told them again I wasn’t interested, and then they started calling me names like an idiot and a jerk. I just laughed and they shut off the call. From what I’ve seen other folks say, this kinda thing sounds common, but it caught me off guard, never had it happen before.10 yearsBeware, 002011158441 is definitely a scam. Stay far away from them!10 yearsAt first, there was complete silence for about 10 seconds, then this guy with what sounded like an Asian accent said he was ringing on behalf of Microsoft. I could hear loads of chatter behind him too. I just told him he was trying to con me and ended the call straight away.Microsoft10 yearsGot a ring from this number earlier. The bloke on the other end had an Asian accent and insisted my computer was hacked. I told him I don’t even use Windows and that I didn't ask for his call. That seemed to set him off badly - he started swearing and saying things like ‘go f*** yourself’ and then threatened me with 'or I’ll f*** you.' Seriously nasty guy. Proper awful experience.10 yearsJust got a call from 002011158441 claiming they were from Windows, telling me my computer was sending out warnings. I told them it was bogus since I don’t even own a computer. They replied by calling me a proper **** and then hung up straight away. Absolute joke of a caller!10 yearsFirst, there was complete silence on the line, then suddenly a recorded voice said "Goodbye" right before the call ended.10 yearsGot a call from a guy with a South Asian accent who said he was calling about Windows Security. I just hung up straight away.Windows Security10 yearsThis number has rung my landline twice now. The second time was just today, 7/4/16, and it was some Asian guy who didn’t even say hello. He just said he needed to discuss the computer I have at home. I asked him what his name was, who he wanted, and what exactly he wanted to talk about but he just went silent and then hung up on me. I've blocked this number now, won’t bother me again.10 yearsThe phone chimed in at 4:01pm, and upon glancing at the number flashing on my screen, I chose to let it ring. I've never encountered a call starting with a 0020 country code before, so I thought it best to ignore it; it seemed like it wouldn't be worth my while.10 yearsGot a call a minute ago from someone with an Asian accent saying they were from Windows. I told them I don’t have any Windows computer and then I just ended the call.10 yearsMy advice? Next time you get one of those calls, act like you’re booting up your PC but just keep them waiting on the line. Let them waste their own time and money until they finally give up and hang up.10 yearsGot a few calls on our work phone from some bloke overseas who said there was a problem with our computer. After I ended the call on him a few times, he still rang back a fourth time, then just told me to 'f##k off'. I wasn't gonna let that slide, so I shot back with the same!10 yearsTotal fraudsters trying to extract personal information. They're extremely intimidating and harsh. I just ended the call.11 yearsThere was a couple of seconds of silence and then they just disconnected. Definitely a spam call!11 yearsSome bloke with a weird accent rang me up saying he was from Windows, telling me my computer was sending signals every time I browsed the internet. He wanted me to switch my PC on and find keys on the left side at the bottom that supposedly spell C+T+R+L. I mean, do Microsoft folks really reckon people don’t know what the ctrl key is? Just give it a miss, they're obviously scammers.11 yearsGot a call at 8.45 from some bloke claiming to be from Windows tech support. When he asked how I was, I told him I don't appreciate scam calls. I've had calls like this before, so I decided to mess with them. I kept them chatting for about half an hour, pretending I was fiddling with my PC and pretending not to know much about tech. They threw a few tricky questions at me, but I just faked being clueless, then mentioned I actually use a Mac - right after that, the line went dead! :)11 yearsTwice already today, I got calls from someone claiming my router was sending out alerts about issues. When I asked who they were, they said TalkTalk, but they never asked if I was the account holder or anything. Instead, they jumped straight into trying to get me to answer security questions, and their accent was definitely from abroad. As soon as I told them no and that I'd call TalkTalk myself if there was a real problem, they just hung up. Total scam if you ask me.TalkTalk11 years00201115844 The same as what others said before, the person calling sounded like they were from abroad and I couldnt make out a single word.
