These scammers ring up saying there’s some virus on your computer, trying to sneak in. Bloody annoying!

Got a call from someone saying they’re BT Broadband and wanted to check my internet speed. Told them I wasn’t bothered and ended the call straight away.

So this bloke called me saying he was David from Windows Tech Support. I told him straight away, "Nah, you're not." He kept going on about having the "ID for my computer," but when I asked him what it was, he just kept saying, "I'm telling you," then suddenly hung up. Honestly, do these muppets not get that this nonsense was old and tired like 15 years back? It's not clever at all.

Today, this number rang my 88-year-old dad, claiming to be from BT regarding his internet service. I asked for the caller’s name and he said "Sean" with a thick Indian accent - yeah, right! Then I asked if he had my dad's account info, and he said yes. I quickly told him he was fibbing since my dad isn’t even a BT customer and doesn’t use the internet at all. Unsurprisingly, he just hung up. Honestly, these scammers prey on the elderly and vulnerable, it’s terrifying.

Got a call from a bloke speaking with what sounded like a foreign accent, asking if my BT broadband was causing any issues. He never said he was actually from BT though. As soon as I told him everything was fine, he just ended the call.

Got a call from a Talktalk scammer, the same number rang me again just yesterday. I reported the data breach to Talktalk, and they simply told me to change my landline number. Honestly, I’m not sure if I’m more annoyed with Talktalk or those dodgy scammers.

Some bloke rang saying he was from TalkTalk. I told him I wasn’t with them. When he wanted to know which provider I used, I just said that’s private.

Got a call from a woman speaking with an Indian accent claiming she was from BT, saying my internet was having some kind of problem. I just told her I'd wait to hear from BT directly about any issues, then I ended the call. The number started with 001 952, which I looked up and that's from southwest Minnesota.

Got a ring from this number, some woman with a funny accent saying she’s from BT internet. Total scam, don’t trust it!

This guy with an Indian accent called me, said there was an issue with my computer. I told him I don't even own one, but he just kept pushing his script. I tried to say no and hang up, but he wouldn’t let it go. I eventually just cut the call. Don’t usually pick up random numbers, but I was expecting a mate to ring from overseas.

I keep getting calls from foreign numbers I don't recognise, so I just ignore them altogether. Often they're from overseas scammers trying to hack into my computer, so I won't be picking up or replying to this one either.

Got a call from a guy who said he was from TalkTalk, said he wanted to help sort out my internet. The phone number he dialed from was really long, like 13 digits and started with 00, so looked like an international number. I told him I'm not a TalkTalk customer and warned him that if he called back again, he might have issues talking to me because I've got some groin injuries.

No need to pick up, the number looks dodgy and is probably just some sort of SCAM.

Had a bloke on the phone this morning claiming he was with BT, sounded like he was from Australia or something. When I told him I reckoned it was a scam, he didn’t seem too happy and just hung up. That’s twice he’s rung me today already.

Been getting calls from these lot nonstop for like 2 weeks now. Had to raise my voice today just to get them to stop calling me, but I’m sure they’ll just keep at it. Honestly don’t get how BT can’t sort this out, it’s ridiculous.

I got a call from someone named Steven, said he was with TalkTalk’s legal team about our broadband. Seemed a bit off to me.

I've gotten calls like this loads of times where when I answer, there's just silence on the other end. Someone once warned me that these scammers can hack into your computer and steal your personal info. On a few occasions, the caller claimed to be from TalkTalk support, saying my internet had issues and my PC was at risk. They told me to turn on my computer and follow their steps or else I'd lose my internet connection. These calls keep coming from different numbers over and over again. If anyone else gets calls like this, please be careful and don’t follow what they say.

I got a call from this number around 11.16 this morning but didn’t pick up. The number had 13 digits, which made me think it’s probably a scam from abroad. I wouldn’t recommend calling it back because you could end up with hidden charges.
