My phone has been ringing incessantly today, three times already! Each time, it disconnects after just a few rings. It’s utterly infuriating! It must be some kind of dodgy premium rate scam, without a doubt.

Got a call from someone claiming to be TalkTalk, but I told them I wasn’t a customer. Then they switched to saying they were from BT, and I said the same again. The person had a strong Indian accent and was really impolite before just hanging up on me. Even though I’m on the TPS list, these annoying calls keep coming multiple times each day.

I mentioned to the Indian caller that I'm registered with the TPS, then he just hung up on me.

this number won’t stop ringing me, but thankfully I’ve got a call blocker for unknown numbers. I tried calling back and got a message saying the number isn’t recognised. Plus, I’m on the TPS list anyway.

I’ve had this number call me three times just today. At last, I picked up and let them know exactly how frustrated I was, and then they just hung up. Honestly, it’s really starting to get on my nerves.

Is there a chance BT actually makes money from these calls? They really ought to block this number altogether.

I answered the phone but there was nothing but quiet on the other end for a few moments before they just hung up.

Got a call from some dodgy international number, probably one of those scammer-generated ones you can’t really track. It was some bloke claiming to be from a computer tech service, telling me my PC had issues. Honestly, don’t let them get remote access or let them download anything onto your machine. If they start telling you to change settings or mess with the keyboard, just say no, it’ll only cause problems. Best advice? Just end the call, keep them talking if you like, or give them a piece of your mind.

I told them my number’s ex-directory and that I’m on the TPS, but they just ignored it and kept it on their call list - proper dodgy scam, watch out!

Some guy from India called and asked for me by my proper name. When I told him it was right, he went on and asked if I had broadband in my room. I said yes, and then he just hung up on me. I quickly switched off my wifi and got in touch with my internet provider about it straight away.

this bloke claimed he was ringing from bt, asking if my broadband was working alright. now, i dont even have bt broadband, so i told him if he really was from bt, he'd have all my info and know that. i then asked why he was calling me when my number's on the tps list, but he just wouldn't answer that. after that, he got really nasty and started shouting all sorts of rude words at me. lucky for me, i can handle it, but honestly, bt should really look into this since someone's abusing their name like that.

It seems like there's been a surge of calls coinciding with our discussions about the BT broadband support ring. I've also received a few dodgy emails requesting my card details-definitely something to be wary of!
